Hello Monica,

I think most of Buddy Hollys songs are virtually in the US because he had much greater success in the UK where they make backing tracks of his songs. I am pleased that you like it. I played safe with this one. I was going to send in a slightly risque version of "No Particular Place To Go" that I recorded with one of my cyber groups The Gonads. I don't know people well enough here yet so I didn't want to shock anybody. lol

I never bought any of Buddy Holly's albums...that would be another reason I never heard the song...and I think the radio stations mostly played only the popular songs. Are you saying you and your group changed the lyrics to "No Particular Place To Go"? Knowing you somewhat...I can imagine where you went with that song and you might be right in thinking that some listeners might be shocked. lol

Buddy Holly had 8 major hits in the UK as a solo artist and only 1 in the US. I was surprised as anyone when I found that out but it explains why I thought he was a major star everywhere. As for "No Particular Place To Go" I didn't change the lyrics ( although I was tempted. lol ) but it's the script on either side of the song that might upset the people who lool like they suck lemons for a hobby. lol
