A couple of days later I saw the same man talk to a tourist, who must have said yes to him, because some minutes later he was arrested by the police. I don't suspect the pusher to be an undercover cop, but I'm pretty sure many of the drug sellers work together with the police

in 2002 the guy was unconditionally pardoned and set free by the king of thailand.
on august 18 2007 the women were both set free from thailand however were only released under conditional pardon that they would still serve 5 more years in an australian prison and be on probation in the community after.
so in other words the three prisoners are no longer in prison and one has already been set free altogether since then.
just cane them, no need to keep them in for life, their neighbours the malaysians and singaporeans don't mind it though of course many are mandatory death sentences.

Also if you intend to smuggle it go to the library and look it up if you do not have internet access. These may seem like harsh sentences but smuggling heroin is dealing death. Her own husband died from it. They want the world to know they will not put up with westerners coming and doing that. Good for them.

Troughout my whole twenties I've been a Heroin Junkie but I've been always totally aware of the state I was in. In the end I looked for help but couldn't get any. I started to break cars cause I thought this the most valuable way to get caught by autorities (so they had to care about me) without doing to much harm to my victims.
Finally it happened. I'was convicted. Instead of going to prison I went to rehab for 28 month.

in 2002 the guy was unconditionally pardoned and set free by the king of thailand.
on august 18 2007 the women were both set free from thailand however were only released under conditional pardon that they would still serve 5 more years in an australian prison and be on probation in the community after.
so in other words the three prisoners are no longer in prison and one has already been set free altogether since then.

Both of those women are still not taking accountability for their actions, blaming their actions on external factors. If they just said "It was greed/my addiction, I was wrong" etc etc, then it would be easier to feel compassion for them.

@ElleCM2 at the time maybe, however around 2002 thailand began relaxing greatly on its mandatory death sentences, most were suddenly commuted to a few years to life, before that they carried up to 50 executions a year, then after 2002 it was usually one and nobody has been executed now since 2009 some thinking it plans to abolish the death penalty, china has such intentions giving all death row offenders except the exceptionally dangerous one reprieve which means they are unlikely to be killed.

I don't believe that they did not know the penalties for smuggling heroin. I knew this about Thailand and I live on the other side of the world. Also if you intend to smuggle it go to the library and look it up if you do not have internet access. These may seem like harsh sentences but smuggling heroin is dealing death. Her own husband died from it. They want the world to know they will not put up with westerners coming and doing that. Good for them.

Troughout my whole twenties I've been a Heroin Junkie but I've been always totally aware of the state I was in. In the end I looked for help but couldn't get any. I started to break cars cause I thought this the most valuable way to get caught by autorities (so they had to care about me) without doing to much harm to my victims.
Finally it happened. I'was convicted. Instead of going to prison I went to rehab for 28 month.
It safed my live.
