  • great song i play fiddle my self but i am finding it difficult to get g string notes right any suggestions that could help

  • @piggynoogla I'd suggest looking up some of the instructional videos on YouTube, or perhaps see if your local public library has any instructional DVD's available for violin or fiddle.

  • You did so well! The only thing I might add to a critique is to emphasize your bow stroke and dynamics! Good job.

  • I love it. This is fun to play and so addictive. I never want to stop.

  • thanxz, its in my elbow and my hand. so it does get better, phew. yeh its very painful isnt it. i guess i overplayed or something. i got to grade 5 after 13 lessons and got over zealous thinking i could do more than i could, practised too much, i think. glad your better now and giving so much joy to others with your playing, god bless

  • I had tendonitis in shoulder a couple of years ago. No fun, that. Glad to hear you like the music, and get well soon!

  • Fantastic! I'm trying to learn fiddle and watching someone as good as you is truly motivational! I'm only learning just for the fun of playing, but if I could ever get even half as good as you are, I'd be happy! Thanks for posting!

  • Super.

  • Whoah, that really amazing,

my grandfather and i play fiddle all the time, but ever since he got his stroke we stopped -_-

But anyways, thats really good ^_^

  • Crisp, clear, and yet still blessedly raw enough for a fan of whiskey to crank it out next to the morning coals of the campfire before the day gets going. :D Thanks!

  • Mr Bergman

I think this is my favorite of all your videos. Thanks.

(Would you consider giving lessons to a great fan from Madison, WI?)

  • Hello and thanks for your comment. As far as lessons go, I might just recommend watching a variety of fiddle videos. Search this tune in YouTube and you'll find many different styles. Also, your public library may have instructional DVD's or videos for fiddle/violin.

  • 2741943 say's; GREAT MUSIC HILLAR, hope you don,t mind if copy.

  • I had never heard of Hillar Bergman until I started listening on YouTube. I really enjoy this music. I have a request. Could you play "Angeline the Baker" sometime.

    Keep posting this wonderful music

  • WOW I like the way you play:D

I am a violinist myself....I been playing for 5 years now and nowhere as good as you!U inspire me!!!

  • love it, ur one my many inspirations

  • one of my favs... leftover salmon version is pretty good

  • I play violin too...but I'm no where as good as you. I need to play some fiddle songs.

  • Use a microphone, and copy the sound into your Windows Media player, then you can slow the tunes down to where you can hear every note. Good way to learn fiddle tunes, they tend to be fast.

  • Wow! I really like this. Great job.

  • I wish I could just sit and watch you play live. This is really beautiful...

  • I love this tune.

  • I like this. Very nice.

  • Very nice!
