  • Thank you for the beautiful song. Do you know who composed the music?

  • Thank you for this song. It's my favorite sad song. I have been unable to find out who composed the music. Do you know?

  • Я б хотел забытся и заснуть...

  • The volume level of this music is set too low. Is there anyway you can re upload it with the setting higher? This is absolutely my favorite version of the song.

  • Vostorgina01 a man that never makes mistakes never makes anything, thank you for your time and effort ,do not worry about the wingers .

  • oh, henki salpautuu.. mahtavaa!

  • Vostorgina01

  • Such a beautiful song and what a great singer Dmitri is!

  • thanks for posting the lyrics

  • c'est beau,nostalgique et religieux,le passé ressurgit,ma jeunesse;le silence enfin et ces paysages d'un temps révolu.

  • The choir in the background makes this piece so Sacred!!!!!!!!!

  • Buongiorno!

Ce ne sonopochi come ci sono Dima.

    Grazie tante maestro Hvorostovsky.

  • Ce ne sonopochi come ci sono Dima. Grazie.

  • Thank you for posting this wonderful song and the lovely paintings. It sounds so unbearably sad (in a good way). I don't speak Russian--would it be possible to have an approximate translation?

By the way, I don't understand the fuss about the transliteration when we have such beauty here for our enjoyment!

  • You can find a professional English translation of this Mikhail Lermontov poem by googling "Lone's the mist-cloaked road before me lying...".

  • Vostorgina01, you've made a mistake in the video title. It should be not 'VykhAzhu' but 'VykhOzhu..'.

  • Indeed. However, I noticed it only after I published the video. Windows Moviemaker does not allow one to edit such things after publication, and I wasn't going to scrap the entire thing for one letter. I make mistakes. Please, accept my apologies.

  • If I were you I would scrap it. Not so much people have viewed this video already, but finally it would be very popular, so better scrap it now ;)

  • In transliteration, one goes for sound values. In standard Russian, unstressed "o" has the sound value of "a", and it is often transliterated thusly. In any case, I am busy translating news material with the Russian point of view on Kosovo from Russian to English, and that is taking all my spare time. Ihave no time to spare for videos, now.

This video shall not be scrapped. Are YOU perfect? (I am not, and cheerfully say so).

  • Well, that all doesn't matter really.. But be prepared that from time to time there will appear guys like me pointing out this mistake. Good luck ;)

  • Actually, I do not know why you put a K in Vixoju. There is no K there whatsoever.

  • BUT WHO CARES))))))))) Just enjoy the piece..

  • Simply put, I was following the Library of Congress transliteration system for Cyrillic. Nothing sinister.
