Heh, at first glance the plastic Halloween mask the Easter Bunny pulls out at 1:20 appears to be a Nixon mask, but when freeze-framed, on closer inspection it appears to be based off the monster from "Frankenstein." (Too bad, a Nixon mask would've been pretty funny, especially seeing as this segment was from 1974-1975.)
Classic Kermit is brilliant. The way he talk to kids and the puppets is structured and mature but in the sense where it is comical satire. Like he himself can sometimes not take the insanity of Sesame Street. Ah, Jim buddy you are missed greatly. Classic Muppets and Sesame Street are just pure epicness.
Could someone put up the Snow White one with the wicked witch and her magic mirror and the segment where Big Bird writes a story about a frog who asks a witch for a potion to change him back into a prince if they have it?
Any clip with all four, Jim, Frank, Jerry, and Richard, is an absoulute gem. And this is no exception. Great characters and great confusion. How about the other news flash with Santa in it? Does anyone have that available?
@Garrettk41 You're right about all four. They were more than just puppeteers because they really breathed life into their characters. These pieces of fabric have more characters than most live actors. I miss Jim and Richard.
The witch's design looks like they borrowed it for the Little Golden Book, 'Cookie Monster and the Cookie Tree.' The witch here resembles the witch in the story, who bewitches her cookie tree to only give cookies to people who will share...naturally, this leads to quite a predicament for Cookie Monster.
These are one of several skits where you essentially have "adult" muppets with childlike qualities -- a reason why the News Flash segments works on several levels for grown-ups and kids.
I always loved how the witch and bunny do a double-take at 2:29 when the guy in the red suit believes he's found Santa Claus. And you also have Kermit's ubiquitous crinkled mouth whenever he finds himself in an uncomfortable situation.
I'll bet the three of them set this whole thing up on purpose just to disgruntle Kermit. What do you think?

First he talks about Easter, and then Halloween, and then Xmas. Speaking of holidays, if you ask me, he's now having "LABOR Day". LOL!!!!

JERRY NELSON as The Witch
FRANK OZ as Santa Claus

I don't think I'd want Santa Claus sitting on my lap. He would be much too heavy.
