BTW, the picture depicts him as a genderless winged angel, in the real life he looks like a neglected, fat slob. Did his/her own music depressed him/her so badly? For soft, shaky, falsetto singing I prefer Aaron Neville who never doubted the gender he was given.....or maybe yes?Oh well, nowadays everything is doubtful......even me and my opinions......

In my undoubted opinion, Neville's lack of doubt may be the ingredient I have always felt was missing from his performances. The voice is there, and I won't say the soul is not, but his delivery has never moved me the way Antony's has.

@ibanezgeorge I don't view this song as having any mistakes, rather a purposeful style of singing. He's never off pitch, it just feels suuuper organic because it feels like he's right there next to you serenading you to sleep. I'm completely with you though that the recording was fantastic enough, even perfect enough. :D

I decided that I would try to write poetry while listening to Antony. I realized that this is a bad idea because feelings of immense inadequacy are creeping up as I hear Antony's voice and John's lyrics.

To me the song is kinda like he is lamenting the original Lyrics.
He still thinks it's a wonderfull philosophy but it seems less optimistic then John's version.
The same hopes and dreams from that strange period in John's time seem to be vacant and kind of lost.
Antony would really like to see it happen but perhaps it sounds like too impossible a dream, more so in this day and age.
