  • Класс

  • very nice, makes me wish i still had my dobro. Good playing friend JIM

  • Thank u for filming that and sharing it for all of us to hear:)

  • talented

  • It'is a very good interpretation .I remember my old uncle played this song on his hawaienne guitar when i was children . I remarke your finger draw cord behind steel bar .I play electric lapsteel " inspiration Shadows.Robert

  • A Master 5 ***** I love it...

  • Sehr Gut!!!!!

  • mattyblade,

it is not too bad over here in Germany. We had 15 reso pickers at a Rob Ickes workshop in Munich the other day.

  • that is very good. how long have you been playing? do you post any lesson vidieos?

  • @MartinGross you do some good pickin bud. and i've never thought you bend the notes behind my slide. great video.

  • i clicked your profile and i saw location germany - is bluegrass and slide guitar a popular thing in germany? i know it's regardless I was just curious - you're one of the best on youtube imo.

  • Yes, this is true.

The Germans are crazy for Bluegrass.

    But not only the Germans.

  • NIce Dobro Playin There Friend--

  • Oh my goodness, love it,

    Beautiful, 5 stars

  • Your playing is wonderful. You give the dobe' a very pedal steel tone that players struggle a lifetime to emulate. Is that a Sheerhorn you're playing? It's a beautiful instrument whatever it may be. Best wishes, and thanks always for such beautiful music.

  • Yes that´s a Scheerhorn. Thanks for your nice words.

    Martin

  • Ithought this was beautiful.

    Thankyou.

  • positively beautiful my friend.Definately a 5 star performance.

  • I have never seen that technique before! Amazing!

  • That's probably because you've never seen someone playing a dobro before! Pick up a steel bar, practice your slides & pretty soon you will eventually know what this technique is all about! This guy's GOOD and is breathing up the necks of Mike Auldridge and Jerry Douglas for sure! Great stuff!! Hank C..

  • Ha...I have been around the dobro for years! We have a dobro player in our current group.

  • Oakie dookie! Then you shouldn't be so amazed over the technique he's using, as it's pretty standard amoung especially Bluegrass players!

Nevertheless, this shouldn't take away the fact that this guy's GOOD & knows his stuff inside out!! Best, Hank C...

  • I've seen everything except the way he bends the single string with the one finger. They may do that a lot where you're from, but I have never seen anyone around here do it.

  • OK, I admit it, you've got a point there! It's not that unique though, as I've seen Jerry use the exact same single string bends! And we've got a few bands over here in Sweden as well that incorporates the same type of technique as far as the dobro player goes! Perhaps a 'trend' that someone came up with?

Let's not quibble about it, but agree upon the fact that this guy's an AWESOME player & deserves all the praise he can get, period! Have a nice week! Hank C...

  • No quibble intended, and you are absolutely right. The guy is pretty awesome. You have a nice week yourself.

  • Guter Job. Das war sehr glatt. Wie eine Welle des Glases. Ich spiele Pedal-Stahl und ich kann, stark er, so flüssig zu spielen ist. Sie sind extrem begabt.

  • Absolutely awesome! :c) 5 Star's!

    God bless you and your's!

    GinMillBill
