Okay, thanks for the information, I only remember that at the time these records were popular and being played frequently on the radio, no mention was made in our country of any speed manipulation. And thanks for posting it!

  • Why are you writing all this nonsense about record speed manipulation a la Chipmunks? The truth is that this was a genuine little girls' choir, with Sue Ann taking the solo. The record was quite popular when it came out in the mid 1950s but their other record, Open Up Your Heart And Let The Sun Shine In was a hit.

  • @mel1001 because it is true, the early records like this one were real children, the later ones were not.

  • You're hearing the voices of songwriter Stuart Hamblen's family. If you play the 45rpm recording at 33-1/3rpm, you'll actually hear their natural voices.

  • @pgh45rpms yes, we suspected something like that, but the earlier ones like this, do sound more natural. Were they all speeded up?

  • WOW, i was looking for this song. has alot of significance for me. my mom used to sing it to me all the time to get me to go to sleep when i was little. thank u so much!

  • Glad to hear that. Now get to sleep :)

  • Hi, I cannot Thank you enough for posting this song. All of my life I have tried to find the name, I used to listen to this when I was 7. You really made my day, Thaqnk you!!!
