A man who beat a woman while trying to rob her Tuesday night was nabbed by police before he could get away, Atlanta police said. About 8 p.m., a witness flagged down an officer at the Walmart at 1801 Howell Mill Road, saying a man was beating a woman in the parking lot. When the officer went to the lot, he saw the suspect in the passenger seat of the victim's car.
