  • The Marta lines serve their purpose well. That is why they are among the most highly ridden train lines in the nation. What Atlanta badly needs is commuter lines going out into the suburbs but Georgia politicians fight the hell out of that everytime someone proposes one. That's not Marta's fault.

  • This is a old CQ311 Rail car all CQ311 rail cars have been through a mid life overhaul

  • for real? wow marta to me is nasty and un safe

  • Cut the bouncing and then we can talk about trains being "nasty".

  • lol it's not nasty, it's actually sexy and ;-) and for entertainment purpose. I see that it caught your attention

    My job is done.

  • What is sexy is a matter of opinion.

  • :-)

  • I'm from Mount Vernon,Ny and the Marta Train is way more faster, cleaner, and spacier than the NYC subway. The train announcers for Marta are more well mannered.Marta gets a ten from me

  • Really? I live in D.C. and our Metro makes Marta and NYC both look like crap.

  • D.C. Metrorail is way worse than marta. Last time I checked marta trains didn't have issues derailing

  • They don't "derail", they have to single track if there is a problem. That can include someone getting sick on a train. This hardly happens every day. In any case fjdollars, Marta's big problem? It doesn't go anyplace. Nice system, but... well...Atlanta is not a subway kind of town...

  • Doesn't go anywhere? You've never been to atlanta have you?

  • Yes, I have been to Atlanta many times. My brother lives in Acworth. How many people can walk to a Marta station? Not too many. There are only two main lines. Going downtown, or midtown, fine. It goes a few other places. Just doesn't work in a town built for cars.

  • Ok, Ok.. let me clarify that.. I have family in Atlanta, and I love that city. I don't mean to trash it. D.C. is having problems because it is ungodly busy. 750,000 a day now using it. That's waaaay more than Atlanta.
