Thank you. You are more than welcome to send a message to me, josmom9407, or isisuf if you have any questions or comments. You probably would have loved her too :)
I am sorry to be asking all of these questions, I do not mean to be intruding on your pain/loss it just seems like she was an amazing girl, that I wish I had known..
Honestly, it's okay. She touched many lives in very shorts amount of time. I only knew her for 8 months before she passed but it felt like I lost a best friend. There are comments from her mother a few below these explaining her accident and why she was in a wheelchair.
Thank you. We lost her because of complications from an auto accident we had in 2001. The accident severed her spinal cord and aorta, broke and pulled her back six inches apart, leaving her paralyzed. The aorta had to be grafted, and later she had to have a bypass when doctors attempted to pull her back together, the aorta kinked (causing loss of blood flow). This caused continuous complications (she lost both legs before her death)and eventually caused her death.
Wow... The video was so beautiful. I wish I had known Jordan better. I only met her online, but she was still a good friend. I talked to her a lot. I have a disability as well and she understood me better than a lot of people. No one has told me what happened yet. I'd like to know someday. If someone could tell me, I'd very much appreciate it. josmom9407, I'm so sorry for your loss. I just recently lost one of my best friends, but she is the first friend I've ever lost. She will be missed
Never underestimate how much Jo's online friends meant to her. We were a huge part of her life. As you probably know, Jo had been in an extremely serious car accident years ago leaving her with some long term ailments, including circulatory problems. It was complications from those injuries that she died from when her bypass failed again. Despite several attempts at surgery, her body just wasn't strong enough to keep going.
Leisa, I am very sorry. It's not the same, but I landed in a wheelchair 30 years ago and I lost my brother in 2002, so I know what grief is, somewhat.
What I want to say is: please let Jordan teach you to embrace life again. It is what apparantly she did and what she wants you to do. It is possible to mourn and feel pain and yet be grateful for the love and beauty in life. And for the joy she gave you.
All our lives are short. Jordan's life was worth living, and so is yours.
I am sorry for the turkey. You know that there were so many of us that loved and love Jo, I hope that you do not let that comment get to you. Some people... I did not know Jo as well as I would have liked, but she touched my life in many ways in the short time I had to know her. Please know that we will always remember her fondly and take with us hope and strength that she always radiated.

Hi. Katie actually gave me your address a bit ago so I have it. I'm going to try and get it burnt and sent to you as soon as possible. You don't need to pay me for anything. I was perfectly happy just making it.
this was so very touching... i wish i had known Jordan! obviously she's such a beautiful person that she is still touching the lives of not only those she knew, but others whom were not so fortunant to know her in the living. my utmost deepest sympathy goes out to you for such a great loss!!
I don't even know what to say. this was a beautiful tribute. I am glad to have known Jo for the 3 years that I had, and sad in her passing. She was a rare and truly beautiful person.
Lovely job. I doubt she'd have understood getting so much attention. She would have tried to deflect it by talking about cookies or her boots or something, but it's a touching reminder to all of us both of what we gained by having her in our lives and what we've lost in losing her. Thanks for doing this.

oh, why was she in a wheelchair to begin with?
heyheywannabe911 3 years ago
oh goodness, how old was she when she passed? Were you and the others involved in the accident ok as well?
heyheywannabe911 3 years ago
She was 20 years old. Her mom and grandma were part of the accident and they only suffered minor injuries compared to Jojo.

Oops. That was meant to be in reply to AtryaAnoriel. For some reason it just showed up as a comment to the video. Sorry! No idea how it did that.

Also, no idea how it later fixed itself... ignore this entirely. Sorry.

Honestly, I never liked Jordan, but it sucks that she had to die.

I think you should keep the first part to yourself. It's disrespectful.

thebadturkey,
Well, now I can say I've "met" someone who did not love her. Do you feel special?
