CCP Hammerhead was always my favorite. He showed so much nerdy passion in all the stuff CCP was making. Sadly when CCP started focusing more on WIS I noticed he started to lose some of that passion. You can really tell he loves EVE and he will be missed.

well wit used to work on my pc..now what i click to open eve it fires up but just shows my descktop and i cant actually get the game screen to come up! i can hear the music and eve type my passsword and press enter and the 'woman' says 'connecting etc' but without seein anything but my desktop! any ideas?

it's cause your graphics card does not support shader 2.0 which is a minimum now...if it doesn't support you will only get black screen when you start the game.

I played EVE for a bit and I have to say I did enjoy it. I liked how the entire game was all effected by the people who play it. I enjoyed my time playing this more than World of Warcraft. As much as I did like WoW I felt this game had more freedom and that's what I like to see in an MMORPG...

This isn't going to be awesome because it's going to be a pain to get the parts and then you have to have a older character to make the ship which is going to be too expensive to fight with. Need more cheap ships to be constantly fighting with, not expensive crap.

Two Sleeper battleships managed to completely break my corps battleship group with two guardians as support. :(

The only real freedom you get with these T3 ships is that they do not have any ship bonuses (at least not yet) and as such it becomes easy to mix various weapon systems.

They'll likely to be too expensive to be used as anything else but a fun/pimpmobile.

I doubt the t3 ships will be able to do something that I can't do better with a faction fit HAC or BC.

Only one level of a Rank 1 skill so nothing too bad.

you lose sp only in the subsystem skills. Those skills I hear are all rank 1 so they shouldent be to hard to train back up. A few hours or so and your ready to head back out.

Yeah, they're all rank one skills so they're fast to train. Additionally, if you eject from your ship or self destruct, you don't suffer the SP loss.

There aren't any xp in eve, so I don't believe it's possible to lose them.

actually, what you lose is Skill Points, specifically one level randomly from the skillset related to running your T3 ships: i.e. Minmatar Defensive Systems lvl4 becomes lvl3, Amarr Propulsion lvl5 becomes lvl4 or even Caldari Electronics lvl2 - lvl1, etc... It's yet another great way that EVE makes it a costly experience to lose your ship, thus making you choose between fighting to the death or Ejecting/Self Destructing (both of which will not cost you a level in the afore-mentioned skillset).

After flying T3 on the test server (the market is flooded with the modules) I've concluded that the T3 cruisers are HACs.

They do not have any sort of special bonuses (yet) that can allow it to use covert ops cloak, battleship class logistics mods, etc.

They are fun tho... but it will be along time before they are practical.

I made a mini "drake" with wings that passively tanked a gank Hyperion. My resists were kinetic 93/ thermal 87.
