Ive always loved this mix since I frst heard it. Its got just the right amount of tweaking to modernise it but without losing anything of what made the original special. You havent changed it to drastically. I think its good enough for an official release and I even had it set as my ringtone for a good while.

The only melodic difference (apart from the brilliant modernization) from the original track is that Micky D's version is a half-step higher. The original track's background is C, B-flat, (octave) C; Micky's version is C#, B natural, and (octave) C#. Micky even perfectly preserved Alannah's original percussion that gave the Twins that distictive sound. Bravo Mr. Ireland!

LOVED IT MICKY - I thought it sounded a bit like Funkytown by Lipps Inc to be honest, but hell this is pumping, you have made this sound fresh, the BPM is perfect, you should get Tom and Alannah to pay you for refreshing a great track. Have you thought of remixing Day after Day - or could you do the same thing to We Are Detective, though that one would be tricky. Thanks heaps. You avoided it becomeing cheesy like other remixes do (i.e. My Humps and Boom Boom Pow are awful remixes).

The 80's sure were the golden age of music. I saw the Thompson Twins back when they had "Concerts on the Common" in Boston in the early 80's. I was 12 years old, and I remember it like it was yesterday. Being a teenager during the 80's, I thought that music would always be this good. Was I ever wrong............
