Everybody here saying she's not black, well guess what? Black doesn't mean African American ok? Black can be any russian, italian, french, mexican, puertorrican, cuban, etc.. that has African ancestry. Zoe Saldaña is Dominican and Puerto Rican, but she was born in the U.S. She looks more of Mulatto to me rather than Black. But if she feels she's black, that's her choice and we need to respect that.

@InfamousPR Her parents are one Dominican and the other Puerto Rican. You're right in that "black" doesn't just mean African American; but it does refer to a person of African descent. So technically she is "black" if we were to talk genetics and history, but officially she's Hispanic.

@CStarz608 Since when has she had a color complex. She's been very vocal in saying she's a black woman that natively speaks Spanish, also Lala Vasquez who I believe is Puerto Rican. Yes, I've come across many Latino's who are darker than me with coarser hair and say they aren't black and have no African heritage, but to my knowledge she ain't one.

I had an issue with natural hair as a child, and begged for a relaxer much to my mom's dismay...guess what I'm fully natural now, absolutely no chemicals. Plenty of kids grow up with doubts, but don't condemn a person because of that.
