Caravan - one of the best of the best! After hearing this album [which I still have on vinyl!] along with other great releases, I had, and still do, a desire to visit their home town of Canterbury .A personal pilgrimage - Hope I do make it there one of these days
I just uploaded another Aristocracy video of the version off this album, since the other video says its blocked in my country, which is the usa. However it has no views and doesnt come up in the related videos yet but if you want to listen to it you can find in thru my channel.
Caravan is my favorite group, and this is one of my favorite songs. The other one is "The Dog, The Dog, He's at It Again". Thank you England for all of the great music!
@coachbk1 Yes, it is a good song. The Canterbury Scene, while good, seemed to have attracted a limited, yet hip, audience. Mainstream prog, such as YES, ELP, Renaissance, and others, paved the way for enormous commercial success, by using advanced keyboards, synthesizers, more intricate melodies, deep lyrics and virtuoso musical talents. Soft Machine was another good one from the Canterbury movement. And you are right , the vocals here do sound like Ringo!
top banana. reminds me of sheffield snake pass mushroom hunt, student digs, bad hair and lots of laughter. Jimbo where art though? truely wonderful chillout music
Really a catchy tune. think I gotta get that album. It's really a pleasantly un-progressive song. Hard to believe that it comes straight outta Canterbury.
Im probable one of only a few Americans that loved this song to death in 71. And i still do. Amazing. Its like Hillage and Barrett and Soft Machine and T Rex and 10cc altogether.
it is good'n quirky, Neils version led me to this, he did a pretty good job and one of caravans members grandkids even came along and played flute on it
They will be in Gouveia art Rock Festival (PORTUGAL) on the 30th of April

"On the golf course we spoke in morse", followed by instrumental morse code! Gotta be one of the most innovative bands of the early seventies....

Just discovered this song a few months ago. Why wasn't this group more popular? They have a nice combination of progressive rock and melodic sounds.
Does anyone else think the vocal sounds a bit like Ringo?
