It's a good job they weren't talking about door knobs, otherwise it would be, "What a nice big shiny knob". lol. I also think there was one about Goldie laying under a male presenter, and him saying, "And you can see Goldie is laying between my legs", to which the female presenter says, "Ohh, lucky Goldie". lol
In the 30 or so years since I saw it (off sick from school), I've never met anybody else who saw on Playschool, a look through the window at a bird table: "now there's a lovely pair of tits" ... Anybody?
Saw an interview where Simon said these types of thing were entirely deliberate, although unscripted, and they'd compete to see who could get away with it the most.
@CycolacFan Simon Groom was an huge Ken Russel fan and did one of the first documentaries about him, in the nineties. i met him and Peter Duncan in a Pizza Express and had a chat with them about Ken Russel's films over a Sloppy Giuseppie. i remarked that his was the first Ken Russell documentary that i was aware of. What a lovely evening that was.
Simon Groom is a deadpan maestro.
