  • Simon Groom is a deadpan maestro.

  • Remember seeing this as a kid & laughing so loud.

    Simon Groome,you soppy TV legend!!!!!

  • It's a good job they weren't talking about door knobs, otherwise it would be, "What a nice big shiny knob". lol. I also think there was one about Goldie laying under a male presenter, and him saying, "And you can see Goldie is laying between my legs", to which the female presenter says, "Ohh, lucky Goldie". lol

  • I thought this was a CHILDREN'S television show. LOL

  • Did that really happen or was it made up?

  • @Feisty1967 It certainly did, I watched it.

It was about the knocker of the door at Durham Cathedral being replaced. Couldn't believe my ears !!!

  • Thumbs Up If MrTARDISreviews Sent You.

  • im a fool, i wanted to see their knockers :(

  • I walked past one of those knockers today at the cathedral in Durham

  • all this time i thought it was an innocent show but all the while i was being Simon Groomed

  • it was always lesley judds knockers for me

  • i love the pair of Knockers

  • LOL...LMAO

  • WHY CAN'T SOMEONE PUT THE WHOLE CLIP ON ? THERES MUCH MORE OF AN IMPACT THE THE PUNCHLINE.

  • Standing right in front of them now and I can say they are indeed a beautiful pair of knockers!

  • In the 30 or so years since I saw it (off sick from school), I've never met anybody else who saw on Playschool, a look through the window at a bird table: "now there's a lovely pair of tits" ... Anybody?

  • I remember watching this all those years ago as Simon Groom made his "knockers" remark.

  • Groom was a complete drip and a third rate presenter.

    JOHN NOAKES forever.

  • 'what a beautiful pair of knockers'

    LMAO!

  • lol XD

  • I remember watching this on TV at the time - got a lot of schoolboy tongues wagging

  • Gives a whole new meaning to BLUE Peter

  • I thought Valerie had left by then...

  • now thats amazing

  • LOL. Wonderful.

  • Saw an interview where Simon said these types of thing were entirely deliberate, although unscripted, and they'd compete to see who could get away with it the most.

  • @CycolacFan Simon Groom was an huge Ken Russel fan and did one of the first documentaries about him, in the nineties. i met him and Peter Duncan in a Pizza Express and had a chat with them about Ken Russel's films over a Sloppy Giuseppie. i remarked that his was the first Ken Russell documentary that i was aware of. What a lovely evening that was.

  • LOL

  • I remember getting home from School and watching this thinking 'WTF they can't say that on Blue Peter'.

Simon Groom does a Kenneth Williams.

  • Ooops!

Well I guess back then, there wasn't much suggestive language about
