The album Checkmate Savage is really good. I'm still amazed it didn't even merit a mention when it came to the Mercury Nominations. Disgrace.

4: Island (Totally different from the rest of the album but awesome)

search 'The Howling by The Phantom Band' to find the official video for The Howling. It was directed by Bronagh Keegan and Martin Wedderburn who, amongst other things, did some genius Irn Bru adverts - fans of the Ginger Nectar will know the ones I'm talking about.

The Howling is about to be released (video and everything.) Despite Checkmate Savage being out since January and Folksong Oblivion getting quite a lot of air play this will be the 1st single they have released from it so it will probably boost sales.

They have a 2000 word interview in The Guardian coming up very soon too, so lots of exposure is on its way.

It hasn't been realeased as a single, The Howling will be the 1st single to be released and the video has just been shot (on saturday in fact)
