In 1982, at the age of 12, Sgouros made his Carnegie Hall debut. He performed Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 3 with the National Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Mstislav Rostropovich (just from the top of my head, i guess there could be an even younger one) so...

still this young fellow is quite amazing, good job there George!

Actually, the people who hate this video, including me, hate it because of the inaccuracy that was involved in him hitting the right notes, and the tempo of the piece, which was way off. The loudness of the left and right hand was also too loud and yet too soft in some parts. And he played an extra note at the end, Still very good playing, but not quite professional. I don't wish I had that talent because I already do have that talent.

George - the articulation of your right-hand passage work is precisely how I imagine Liszt himself playing this piece - bright, clear, and elegant rather than aggressive or perfumed. I think you could easily specialize in 19th-century rep, but don't settle for anything less than an omniscient command of all periods from Purcell to Prokofiev and beyond.
