  • 4 people... well, they're just shit aren't they!

  • 4 people are deaf

  • Catchiest. Zeppelin song. EVER.

  • i sang this song...

  • this is a great song and by the way its not a solo its just an instramental. Also this is in the album led zepplin II not houses of the holy.

  • This isn't Bonham and Page doing a solo. Bonham was just messing around in the studio and they decided to record it. Page and Jones just played along to what Bonham was playing at the beginning and end of the song. Also, the "solo" was edited down from a larger recording, explaining the instant transition from hands to sticks and the fading in at the beginning of the song.

  • The riff master general....and for you kids, its drop 'D'....

  • they start

  • wrong album

  • Still a good instrumental song tho but yeah its not this album.

  • @hollistagrl3 ok mr perfect

  • what the hell is the talk bout that led zeppelin had stolen this song of another band,. just red it in google

  • Haha! They stole the idea of a drum solo! lol

    *just kidding

  • Im just glad this isn't on rock band.

otherwise if i tried the drums I would never pass it and fail DDDDD:

  • if this was on rockband evryone would die

  • because John bonham and a set of drums = beastly

  • LOL very true. dean guitars DO own!

  • I know right?

  • yea...doesn't mustaine use a dean?

  • yeah.

    He calls it angels--something i don't remember.

  • I think this drum solo invented this annoying double bass you hear ALOT in metal.

But he was original Now it's just unoriginal

  • hes not using a double bass. bonham has a very fast right foot.

  • I don't think many of the good drummers from back in the day used much double bass pedal... Like Keith Moon, Roger Taylor, JOhn Bonham... Uhh, Buddy Rich or Guy... Can't remember which one played drums very well

  • i think keith moon MIGHT have but im not 100% sure at all

  • @101011we NONE of them used double bass PEDAL. They hadn't been invented yet. Keith Moon had two bass drums, but did not generally use them the way they came to be incorporated later. Roger Taylor - only on "Fat Bottomed Girls", played as a tight "flam". Buddy Rich, no. Buddy Guy, not sure. The amazing thing is that Bonham did what he did with ONE. Most of us need two pedals to approximate it. He was awesome.

  • @101011we Buddy Rich played drums. Buddy Guy was (is?) a blues guitarist.

  • why the hell was that thumbs down?

I was stating that double bass is very annoying now.

but it's always good when its bonham.

  • awsome drum solo

  • The guitar riff is awesome. There should be a longer section for it - but it shouldn't cut into the awesome drum solo. The song should just be longer.

  • riff is stolen yoo check out the song watch your step yoo

  • i wish more of the song was just the opening progression, its so funky

  • agreed. Too much drum solo.

  • TWAT!

the whole dang point of the song is to be an amazing representation of the great and legendary rock drummer that bonham was. the whole point is too much drum solo, it is a bloomin drum solo :@*:!!!!!!!!

  • I've played drums for 10 years lad. I know all about Bonham and his work. The point me and the other guy had was:

Led Zep should have made the rest of the song into an entirely new song.

    ps: TWAT.

  • ive played for 9, and am probz much younger than you lad.

and u and the other guys are saying too much drum solo

    ps: PRICK lol

  • I actually agree on some part of what they are saying.

I agree that it is an amazing riff, but there can never be too much drum solo with the god of all drummers, John Bonham

  • YES!!! HA, thankyou very much dude :D

  • DISAGREED. It was a good drum solo. {:

  • back the the nirvana thing.......dave grohl carried that band on his back uphill both ways!

  • hahaha u think that dave carried NIRVANA??? u r stupid as shit bud because kurt made up most of the stuff except for scentless apprentic and marigold(which was by scream) daves old band

  • What I don't get is why Zeppo14, the owner of this broadcast...put a picture of "Houses of the Holy Album for Moby Dick when this song as ya'll likely know was on Led ZepII and The Song Remains The Same...hmmmm anyhoy, its always incredible to listen to Bonham. Ciao

  • Moby Dick in love with a rock, has always been played in garages and sessions when it was still playing for us amateur ... GOOD TIMES

  • The riff is a direct steal to Bobby Parker "Watch Your Step" at least the Beatles changed the riff around. I love Led Zeppelin anyway.

  • i hate to admit this but stairway was too a steal too

  • can i search for "moby dick" and have to page through 600 pages of jerkoffs and wannabes (no offense, imitation is the sincerest form of whatever)...but seriously thanks

  • Man, around like 2:46 when he is drumming. Its sweet.

  • Thanks to ventertainme I keep hearing Bill O'Reilly saying 'fuck fuck ffuck fucking sucks!' over the guitar bit!

  • If people dislike a band so much......why do they listen to their song on youtube? I hate Kid Rock's rip-off of Zevon & Skynyrd so I don't listen to it. How difficult is that?

  • @SuzukiRider420 I'm listening to this song so I can hear how many songs it ripped off.

  • Dave Grohl was good but Bonham is better no doubt. Now personally Keith Moon beats both of them.

  • Ahahahah! I laugh at you, stupid loser! Reading your comment I can understand how much you can know about music!!! Grow up kiddy and go listen to Nirvana which give emotion to a fag like you! Ridicolous.

  • dude but still tho. why would u wish a painful death on anybody

regardless of who they were. i think only a few exceptions like hitler, but nobody deserves to die painfully

  • Just shut the fuck up ok? You don't deserve to be answered...before for what you said about Bonham, then for what you said about Nirvana, and mostly for what you said about music...Bonham and Led Zeppelin overrater? AHAHA! Grow up kid...there are a lot of cool bands, I don't listen only to Led Z. but if you like that period's rock is IMPOSSIBILE to dislike LZ.

  • WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU

  • you think zeppelin sucks, and yet your username has "zeppelin" in it

  • So you think Nirvana is overrated and Zep isn't? The only reason the Seattle boys are (Insanely) popular is because of Cobain's death.

  • um, actually, they were insanely popular when Nevermind came out.....which was when Cobain was still alive. They became even MORE popular when Cobain died.

  • its one thing to voice your opinion but do it in a subtle way and not on a ledzeplin song if you are going to insult them

  • nirvana fagg!! go listen to your fake rock emo music and if ya dont know your the one who sucks a horse dick and they dont even like it fagg!

  • Wait a minute, Nirvana isn't a emo or fake band they were more real than most bands even Zepelin, and they were there before emos even existed..........YOU'RE the fagg....

  • Nirvana was in no way emo or fake. They were the last band to really have any kind of serious affect on music. And Nirvana was greatly inspired by Led Zeppelin. Maybe you should know your music before you open your pie hole, moron.

  • BURNED. beautiful. lep zep and nirvana are their own categories of awesome.

  • really? cuz i was pretty sure Nirvana sucked at everything they every tried

  • ahahahahaha zeppelinzks192 is so fucking owned good one zz mathewzz :D XD

  • Why would you ever wish a death of that or death in general upon someone?

  • No way...Led Zeppelin is the greatest rock band of all time. Bonham is the second best drummer if not the best. Lars is decent, but still no where near the talent of Bonham, and Dave Grohl was good too, but I doubt he is even in the top 50 drummers.

  • Neil Pert is #1. But Bonham is still amazing, if he was still alive and playing I'm sure he'd be better than Pert.

  • yeah your right dude, john bonham was real awesome.. R.I.P bonham but did you guys know neil peart was out of rush for a few years?? because his wife and daughter died in a car accident and still he plays as good as back then and he is over 50 years :O and i can tell cause i was by one of their last concerts :D

  • amazing band. amazing song.

  • haha hey thanks, im a guy btw

and yes this is the best drum solo EVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!

  • i agree

  • um i dont mean to be a prick about this

Moby Dick pretty much John Bonham and Jimmy Page doing a solo

JPJ is also on this track, and its most just john bonham soloing

  • haha wow apparently people really liked my comment

    still tho...

    best drum solo EVER!!!!!

  • Rob Zombie was around for years before Marilyn Wankson with White Zombie,he is not as good now but he is still better than Manson anyday, why even bother to mention that sadacht in music inspired conversation, shut your trap Nenshouken your talking complete arse gravy.

  • does it matter that its the wrond cd cover? its still led zeppelin

  • Thats the wrong CD cover but thanks putting the video on.

  • Oh man, thats cheap! I have payed for my CD's (sadly CD's) including 1,2,3,4, Houses of the Holy, Coda and The Soundtrack from the film "The song remains the same" approximately 80 euros 8|

  • Yes, this was on Led Zeppelin II =) That picture is from album Houses of the Holy.

  • yea...the only 90s-present band i like is stone temple pilots....

  • whats up with the houses of the holy picture? haha

  • i dont know but its not on that album..i love this song..

  • Thanks for adding this. I had to weed through a lot of shitty covers to get to the real song.

  • Bonham rocks. That was the age of the great drummers. Carl Palmer, Terry Bozzio, Ginger Baker, Bill Bruford, Alan White, Keith Moon, Phil Collins & many more all great. WHat ever happened to great music :(

  • it died :( i hate my generation's music...i wish i was born in the 60's

  • f'reals

    with hiphop and rap

    alternative rock

and the otehr rocks with bad guitar riffs

    but...some rap/hiphop is good

but the music in the earlier generations are way better...60's 70's 80's

  • I know how you feel...I dont listen to anything else but the music of the 60's,70's and 80's...todays music is total crap

  • i agree with you but you can still find a ton a good music from today like seether, disturbed, godsmack, rob zombie, ozzy, etc.

  • yes of course...but the point is that the music from the 60's up to the 90's is more original and the music now is more like a copy and I think that everybody prefers the original..

did you know that people are compering the jonas brothers to The Beatles...WTF?!?!

  • after forty years though some of the stuff is eventualy going to sound the same

  • comparing the jonas brothers...to the beatles.....wheres my gun..someone needs to be shot...

  • seether, disturbed, godsmack, and rob zombie all suck. godsmack copied alice in chains completely. rob zombie copied marilyn manson. seether copied nirvana. disturbed copied metallica.

  • .. Oh dear, they happen to play music of the same genre?

  • godsmack isn't grunge. seether isn't grunge. and i'm talking about the image.

  • .. "image" being?

  • godsmack started out as a alice copper cover band. so that why they sound the same.

  • i didnt say anything about alice cooper. alice cooper is glam rock. you fail.

  • o sorry i thoguht you said alice cooper not alice in chains..my bad..

  • rhcp isnt bad

  • @homlesa I am reliving my past, finding Sirus Classic Rock 40 channel ;)

  • Let us not forget Danny Carey of Tool. His performance on Lateralus is just awesome and that came out in 2001.

  • i love this song

  • thanks so much
