By far my favorite sketch. I want this made into a movie. An old man with the power to unleash a horde of monsters on a small town...sounds almost like Lovecraft. Not until Postal was released would we finally get to see Foley's Monkeys-AND IT WAS GLORIOUS!

A classic show. I remember watching this on CBC later in the evenings when I was a kid. Even after all of these years, "Kids in the Hall" still seems fresh and funny. It was certainly WAY ahead of it's time.

Canadian television is actually pretty bad. The biggest show in Canada right now? "Corner Gas". "Kids in the Hall" was a fluke, it's mostly stuff like "Royal Canadian Air Farce" (Canada's Mad TV).

Why is Canadian television so awful? CanCon. It's like the special olympics of creativity. That, and all of the really funny and talented and smart artists go to the US. Dave Foley did. Phil Hartman did. Hell, most of the greats from SNL over the years were Canadian.
