  • they arenæt allowed to pull their shirts? why are so many women doing that at international level? I their opponents are strong enough, it won't help anyway...

  • I just discovered flag rugby existed tonight, when my nephew came to visit after his practice, he called it tag rugby. I was amazed because Ive heard of the sevens and touch variations, but not tag lol. I prefer the traditional 15 aside game but I can see that flag rugby would be a good, gentle introduction to the game for the young.

  • hey no getting pissed after the game!!

  • RUBY is better then American football grid iron because in Ruby they are always moving and theyu wear no protective armor like they do in American Football

ALso we have what it takes to Smash the Aussies and the Kiwis with in time we will

  • LOL...could the black dude at the beginning be any more condescending?

  • @mcphantic80 Thanks for the comment. Our program is a youth development one with a strong focus on the positive elements of team sports & the character & life skills that can be learnt through active participation in rugby. There is a lot more to the sport than just tackling & the negative stereotype of the sport where "the whole point of rugby [is] u get to crease someone) is hurting the growth of this fantastic sport.

We offer both tackle & flag rugby for more info please see playrugbyusa com

  • less intense means its less fun

no tackling? thats the whole point of rugby u get to crease someone

  • Great work Griff and the team.

  • Lol at English coach. Then again, it's pretty good for kids.

And you CANNOT pass it side to side.

And no tackle? They're missing all the fun!

  • @emROARS Thanks for the comment the kids love rugby - the flag version is a great way to develop skills before introducing the physical component of the game.

You are allowed to pass laterally (side to side) in every version of rugby

  • I always thought you HAD to pass forward. Then again...

wait...Ok, You can pass to the side but at the same time is very difficult to tell considering your running. Is that true?

  • @PlayRugbyUSA the flag version is great way to make rugby not as awesome. In rugby playing nations kids develop skills while in contact at all levels . It is USA Rugby's way of trying to promote the sport to soccer moms. Flag rugby has its purpose but to it endorse as national guidelines will ensure our players will not develop the skills to play competitively at the national level.

Ive seen children play rugby and its awesome. I ve seen children play flag rugby...its ok.

  • @oomrp I understand the thinking behind ur comments & agree with the logic that the sooner youth start getting used to contact the better their contact skills will be in the future. If you have a look at our other videos you will see we do coach and run tackle rugby programs which have been hugely successful.

Play Rugby USA is a wellness and prevention program to develop youth through rugby and is not just an athletic program or to be confused with the National Governing Body, USA Rugby

  • @emROARS you can pass the ball side to side e.g flat just not forward

  • Good to see the Yanks are taking on Rugby, but I think it will take 100 years until they beat a Southern Hemisphere team.

  • Soy de chile y no sabes como me gustaria estar alli

  • I hope you managed to watch the footage from this years Mayors cup on total rugby too!

  • it is so great that rugby is growing here

i heard a nice story about the mayors cup on total rugby radio
