Gerber dropped the ball on QC of the assisted opening safety button. Better to carry this knife in a Blackhawk multipurpose mag / knife case case. It can open in your pocket.
@lakecrab I don't really carry this knife. Its basically an addition to my collection. I have examined my knife and the safety seems to work fine, but since I do not regularly use it I will keep the safety in mind and see if I have any future issues.
@ArmyRescue2 I do carry a knife on duty. I carry a Benchmade Model 915 Triage. I don't carry the Gerber Covert Auto because the Benchmade gives me more utility and I primarily wanted the Gerber Covert Auto as an addition to my knife collection.
@renegade410 nice I have a triage but it was a gift so I dont wanna lose it so I carry a grip. Had the covert, but it rusted so I sent it in and got a new one.

@intothewilds2 Thank you for watching and subscribing. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you as well. I'm glad that you enjoy my videos. I will do my best to stay safe. Thank you for your kinds words.
@oblivionlova23 I have been very busy recently. I have some items I want to make videos on, but I just can't seem to find the time right now. I really want to keep making videos, but if my heart and mind aren't fully committed to the video or it isn't just the way I want it, I won't post it. I hate to rush through videos just to get them online. I do take pride in doing the videos to the best of my ability. I will make every attempt at getting some new ones up as soon as I can.
@TheJORPR777 I live in Fla and as far as I know autos are legal. I carry a Sog Tac Auto every now and then. You just have to remember the 4 inch blade law for a folding knife.
@TheJORPR777 According to Wikipedia, they are legal to own as well as carry (not idea on blade length limits though). Check out the "US State Laws" section on the "Switchblade" article of Wikipedia for a list of all.
@duragezic Be careful regarding what is on Wikipedia. It is an open source encyclopedia that anyone can post to. The information contained on that site may mot be correct. You can find each state's laws if you use an internet search.
@renegade410 Good call. I think Wikipedia is generally pretty reliable, but with something so important, I agree you should look into the law from it's actual source.

do you carry a knife on duty? Why would you not choose to carry this one?

Goood find, an iconic knife in a best version. I go now, after the smaller assisted, to the green huge manual combat one . . Enjoy yours

@TheJORPR777 Thank you. I don't know if they are legal for civilians to carry in Florida. You would have to consult your local laws.
