I remember playing this game until I was completely maxxed-out on all stats. In a glitch, the graphics for the psyonic attack that showed a brain started accessing odd characters and you couldn't go above level 255 as you kept fighting characters, "RRR-III" and only doing 1 damage point (it rolled over).
Damn, this and Racing Destruction Set are my two favorite C64 games. Would love to see a modern update (as long as they contented themselves to just uprezzing the artwork, keeping it 2D, adding animated shots & explosions, modern sound, 'Net play in addition to 2-controller play, online leaderboards...). But if they changed even one aspect of the actual gameplay... GRRR!
From the days of ingenious idea game making! Long dead and gone, which is why i pretty much just play my C64 games and DOS PC games all from the 80's/90's!
This is my favorite game of all time. Thanks for posting.
It was years ahead of other games with the ability to save characters and have tournaments. I remember this Squid guy I called Roger Rabbit. He was riiculously good. Then I lost with him on a fluke and for some reason, he started to move very slowly. I was crushed.
i somehow did that on accident without an edit by using the java and memoryrna too much. i had the mind power up to 18 and the icon was all messed up :) but so was my morph! hehehe

Someone PLEASE remake this friggin' game. It's so ahead of its time. Class creation. RPG stats. Multiplayer modes including deathmatch and CTF!

"what a funny name for a videogame!"
In the same year, they also released another game with a funny name, "Racing Destruction Set"
It was just as entertaining as Mail Order Monsters.

@robfathah Ditto. Althought it was on Atari800. That would be on my remake List for sure :)
