I can't Tell if Hugh was saying "the land of Gilan" which would put Sadler in the area of Iran/turkey/armenia, or if he said "the land of Gila or gala" which could be a play on the word Gallia or Gaul which would put Sadler in France. It would make sense if it was in Gaul but it wouldn't explain the Singing Stones unless that formation was supposed to be a generic celtic altar. Note that Celtic Tribes did get as far as Turkey from France.
