  • This is awesome, works in other situations too, like Wordpress blogs, etc. Thanks!

  • I fucking love you man.

  • does it work on myspace?

  • absolute genius! thanks!!!

  • Nice, I didn't know I could go into Firefox's cache like that. There's a way to save some time/effort at the end of this process. When you're on the last page in the browsers cache ("Cache entry information page"), copy the entire location where it says 'file on disk' and then paste it into Firefox's navigation bar (or File > Open Location) then hit enter. When it prompts you to save, enter the song title with .mp3 at the end.

  • Dude that worked perfectly for me.... the only thing though is with mac, when you right click there's no "copy" option for that kind of file so you just have to press Open Apple + C and then Open Apple + V in the location you want.

    Thanks!!!!!!!!

  • Does it works on Myspace?

  • So...I got it from my firefox cache...I'm on a mac. I just can't get it to play, it looks like its a read only file. And I can't get it to play in my itunes. Any tips?

  • wats the music at the background? I really like it a lot. nice tutorial.

  • This is very easy, just look at when the file was modified and the size and you can snag all those streaming songs that're impossible to download

  • Thanks foreign guy! It worked in OS X too. Just set a song from hypem to my ringtone on new motorola droid!

  • How did you do it on mac? im in the cache viewer and i think i found the right mp3 file, but there isnt the 8 digit number there more like a 24 digit one, id appreciate any help

  • thank you

  • omg thanks so much dude, proper life saver.

  • HAHAHA! TY DUDEEE!

  • You do know that clicking 'full post' on the entry leads you to the blog, which almost always has the mp3 in pure format or in a filesending website, right?

  • Sometimes the blog has been deleted by the owner, etc but the mp3 is still up on another site. In that case, it's very useful to be able to access the direct link

  • @FredMark you are a dumbass hypem hasnt used any blogs that allow illigal downloading for a long time. the blogs upload the song directly to hypem's server now/

  • i need help. i cant find the firefox folder in the applications support folder. (using a mac)

  • i did it! just now.. :)

  • and what about Google Chrome? anyone? its says something about Cookies...

  • I just want to thanks every one for watching this video. I'm back and I m back with more videos. I will upload them in few days. Thanks every one. Thanks Bro "Ozzy"

  • you don't have to listen to the end, just watch the file kB size in cache directory and after it stops, you can copy/rename it. It takes usually half a song.

  • or just download the firefox downloader

  • Newest firefox browser does not have the same folders, say good bye to this way of downloading, I liked it too. :)

  • You can still do it in the new firefox. i just did it. =)

  • Your right, you can still get it, I just found that the folder was just hidden. So yeah, everyone who can't find it make the hidden folders visable and you got it.

  • thank you so much - it's a really big help

  • Wow, thanks so much! There was a song I was looking for...none of the music stores have it and all the links were dead...scoured the web for it and the ONLY copy I could find was on Hypem. Thanks to you I was able to grab it. 5 stars!

  • Nice. I also found out how you can download the songs with Google Chrome so PM me if you want to know.

  • yeeah it works with Chrome, too! That's great :D

  • would be great if you could send me a quick message how to do it :), thanks

  • Well just trial is what i usually do but another thing is, while your'e listening to a song, the file size will be increasing in the cache folder so usually you can see which one it is.

  • well i found what i wanted but what i cant do is find out which file it is that i want from the cache...i just did trial and error

  • sweeet! cheers

  • tHX

  • woww.. mega thanks! lol

  • OMG! You're awesome! Thanks for making this vid!!!!

  • ozzyhalo, you are the best!

  • argh man, of course, the cache! I'm such a noob:)

    and thanks!

  • great vid.

unfortunitly i tunes doesnt play it.

and windows media uses an extension.

how can i use itunes to play iT?

  • all you have to do is add ".mp3" to the end and it should play on itunes

if it doesnt work im guessing you did somehting wrong or maybe its different on mac than pc

    ROFL!

  • Yeah dewy is right, you're the poofta... whatever the fuck a poofta is..

  • use 'flashgot', free application and firefox extension

  • i just click read full post and find the mp3 on the blog page. its much easier

  • yeah thats wot i normaly do but its been deleted so i need it off hypem

  • cheers but im getting stuck at a file on my computer called mztym1p1.default

and i cant seem to find the cache etc

  • thank you so much!

  • nice one..whats the tune in the background?

  • this is a REALLY long way to get the song.. the HYPE machine takes the music from blogs.. so all you have to do is go to the original post.. in the link.. and then search on the page for the song title or band.. you'll find the link really quickly!!!

  • I agree it IS the long way, but when i want to download at work i get blocked when attempting to download from anything classified as 'network storage'. This way allows me to work around it.

  • thanks! great vid

  • that was kinda hilarious

  • i don't get a search bar at the bottom of my page.. .

  • hit ctrl+f

  • excellent guide, thanks a bunch for this! even had it for mac os x too!

  • Thanks very much!

  • thanks a bunch. just got couple Animal Collective tracks from using it cuz they'd been removed on the blog links

  • a++

  • thank you so much !

    gr

  • wicked trick man!

    5star'd!

  • Yeah...thats all very well and good but cant you just use soulseek or another download site?? its much easier, less hassle and soo much quicker!! sorry to piss on your chips!!

  • huh? just right click the link of the song and download, no need for all this..just done it with three tracks ;)

  • Yeah, Ik. That always worked on IE7 for me, but when I switched to FireFox it wouldnt let me just right-click on the link in the blog and "Save Target As". Does anyone know why?

  • When I get into my profile for Mozilla Firefox there's no cache in that folder, therefore I can't locate the file.

    what do I do?

  • you probs need to change your internet settings in firefox, you probably have yours set to not record cache, change it so it does.

  • How do I change that setting? I looked in the Options but couldn't find anything related to keep a cache.

  • go to options, then select the privacy tab. go down to where it says private data, then click on settings, and there should be an option for cookies in the pop-up box

  • Not to sound like a retard who repeatedly fails at getting this right, but; I followed your instructions and it lead me to exactly what you said it would. When I click settings a list comes up where I can click Cookies, the only thing I don't get is that list is titled "When I ask Firefox to clear my private data, it should erase:".

How would this menu change whether it keeps track of visited sites in the cache?

  • sorry man i dunno why it wont work. and about that list, i didnt really read it lol, i just guessed that when i saw a tick box with cache that would solve it. search on google for "cache not recording in firefox" or something, see if that helps. if not just try file2hd(.com), thats what i use, its pretty good.

  • That looks pretty cool! I use Free Music Zilla, but it has a limit of 10 a day, so I'll definitely consider this if I need to! :)

  • thx alot man !!

  • awesme vid

  • or you could just use songbird

  • that doesn't work in my mac.Or maybe it does not shox me hide files..Someone's got an idea?

  • thx man ;D

  • downloadhelper, download it, job done

  • thank you awesome@!!!!

  • Noobs. You can check all caches!! just do almost the same if you have internet explorer or opera. The song is downloaded in the cache anyway. If you use IE just go to the temporary internet files-folder. But its all the same easier if you have safari. Just go to a site streaming the mp3 you want open the activity window and find the song you want there, double click it and it opens in a player. Ex. Quicktime.

  • lol, big thanx cutoff. Who wouyld have thought!

  • Music blogs are made to profile music, so every song they post are there for download. Hypem tracks loads of music blogs, and you can play them on there because there's songs to download on the blogs. So as said below, click read full post, which will take you to the blog, and there's a link to the song. No need to cheat your way round it; they're there anyway. Blogs have always worked that way! So many people find Hypem looking for songs on google, yet don't understand what it really does.

  • noobs eh?

two clicks is all it takes

  • Yeah clicking 'Read Full Post...' used to work great but more often than not, unless the blog is brand new you'll get a 404 trying to right-click download the song from the blog site. This is especially true if you've searched for something obscure. Even out of 10 search results it's not uncommon for them all to be missing files.

  • Exactly.

  • no need to do that. just click 'read full post' next to the track and go to the site where you'll see a link just fine!

  • or just download Internet Download Manager (IDM).. much easier. and better.

  • brilliant !!!

  • Thx man

  • CHOON!
