I say good video, it needs God's plan of salvation according to Acts 2:38. This is the way the church got started and the Jews, Gentiles, and Samaritans all came the same way. Acts 2:4, 2:38, 10:44--48, 19:1-6, Mark 16:16, Romans 6:3-5, 1 Corinthians 12:13, Galatians 3:27, Ephesians 4:5-6. 1 Peter 3:21. One can't escape baptism of the water and spirit. There's no sinner's prayer in the Bible. We have to come the way God set it up on Pentecost. The Bible way is the only way. man can't change it.
@rossdaboss1959 Spoken like a true UPC member. i don't want to debate however i've come to believe that even within some of the passages you posted, the evidence that there were many disciples of Jesus who later received the fire of the Holy Ghost. I do not see evidence of it being necessary to salvation. Also tongues is not the end all evidence of having the B.inHG. I speak in tongues and have been baptized in the Holy Ghost and have many brothers who have not; we're all going to heaven.
@rossdaboss1959 Not trying to argue, but baptism was not a requirement of salvation. Jesus did not make exceptions for anyone and yet the thief on the cross obviously wasn't baptized however he did accept Christ and obviously still went to Heaven as Christ said today you will be with me in paradise.
@iambradasa i must be mistaken about u being upc as the upc's are all about proper baptism; as for the thief, the kingdom of God must obviously make exceptions!
Thanks for the correction; i was confused. Dr. Munroe is a blessing to me as well; he's the one who got me "Kingdom centered" thanks again for your input.
Demon's maggots scrape away the body in decay. From the inside until your savior is empty. His failure is cleansed by your hatred. Your god stands below dark emptiness. Lost and forgotten in the cold depths. Glaring up from the bottom arises Satan. The body of christ shall satisfy his hunger. Vomit your pallid beliefs. As you live to suffer in ignorance. Save your false pity for those who care. Purged of the will to live your life. You have nothing but a lifeless prayer.
My name is Steven Tozer and i just found out that my great great grandfather was AW Tozer and i cant believe what kind of man he was and the influence he had on the religious community! its amazing
Stephen; you have a heritage to be proud of; this is my favorite sermon by him. if you ever do a channel after locating all his sermons, please let me know; it's life changing stuff.
@sevenarmy1 Therefore, the Lord Jesus Christ, in order that He may abide in you and make you abide in Him, makes and keeps your conscience tender in His fear. And this keeps you from those sins which separate between you and Him.
A. W. Tozer was not just a great CAMA preacher, but regarded by many as the greatest theologian of the last century. Personally, I used his sermons to check my theology and see how that relates to the Word, as well. I have a hard time arguing with Tozer on may things. His teaching was prophetic to this generation and we so desperately need to get back to the person of Jesus. I have been blessed and cahllenged beyond measure by the teaching of Tozer.
Wow, he is my favorite author! I named my first son after him; Aiden... Powerful, powerful words. I have trouble getting through his books sometimes because I keep having to put them down and repent... great stuff. You can be proud of your great grandfather, he was one of the few prophets this century.
i love brazil; dr miles munroe is from there and even though i can't understand the words, i still love the sounds of heloisa rosa! she has a great voice.
I also was exposed to a book by Brother Tozer and at the time thougt him too legalistic. Today I understand his theology and now embrace it for the most part. I like this analogy: we don't take the hand of God; we place our hand in His!
Not quite sure what you mean; if your name is Amy, i doubt i'd call you Reuben:) If Jesus is the Son of God, then He's not the sun god; if He's the resurrected Lord, then he's not muhamed or budda cause they're dead. Was that kinda what you meant? be seeing you, kevin
No, I meant more along the lines of descriptive names, that it is possible for Christ to connect with an individual from within, without that person ever even hearing the name of Jesus or his story. It is Christ's spirit that is alive, not his body.
Jesus IS alive in a resurrected body, a body like the one i hope to attain after death. As far as your other point, Perhaps. Lets say some primative native senses the Spirit of God and he dies not having heard the name of Jesus, id say yes he would go on to be with the Lord in some capacity. I'm concerned because there are so many false and evil spirts in the world that can decieve even us.

Actually, he would go to neither Heaven nor Hell. The Bible is very clear about this.
littleredbirdy 2 years ago
That is not possible. You cannot be converted without hearing the Gospel. This kind of thought is very prevalent these days, but is very incorrect.

thanks you Brother; why to people make it an "either/or" position when it is absolutely a "both/and" issue
