  • its too fucking soft to remove....

  • cant you people learn to drink water from the sink while brushing your teeth? why do u need to use a fuckin glass?

  • i like to clean the remote with my tounge.

  • Argh, these types of people are the most annoying people on earth. The type of people that need it THEIR way and not what is fair for everyone. This guy be punished by permanently receiving the worst seats on planes, worst rooms in the hotel, and burdened with the longest lines during shopping.

  • he wasted water like a moron... how about bring your own cup or clean it yourself...

  • Another tip, get wasted before you go to sleep. You would not only have a good night sleep, but you would forget everything about your dirty linens next day.

  • Just book 5-star hotels if you are paranoid about cleanliness. Otherwise, never leave your home.

  • I wonder how many people did the raw bumpity bump on that bedspread ?

  • i travle alot i go in alot of hotels since 10 years and im still alive

    dont be so sensitve

  • I bet more people die each year from staph infections from hospitals than they do from a hotel stay!! But I do buy my own glass and use it, then tote it home with me.

  • Do you want a clean hotel room? Then why not rip all of the bed sheets off onto the floor!?

  • I have to stay at a cheap hotel at the moment because my car broke down

I like the management a lot so I don't want to think bad of them. But I have a rash. :(

  • Yeah, that's right, just throw the blanket onto the floor.

  • How many people in the world have been killed from bacteria on a TV remote? It's not exactly an illness featured in episodes of ER.

  • how about not being a whiner and suck it up.. you probably are not going to die; and in the unlikely event you do, well with the lawsuit that will follow not only you will pass on to a better life,.. so will your next to kin.

  • Great advice :).

  • thank you

  • 2 and 1/2 minutes of wasted water. use your hands as a scoop

  • It gets even better: a few months ago they had a hidden camera in a hotel bathroom and filmed the maid "cleaning" that glass with the same cloth she had just cleaned the toilet with. Oh yeah. And yes, she cleaned every surface with this cloth.

  • @princeeugen Lol, I also saw a hidden camera investigation on TV like that too, they showed the Filipina maid using the same cloth that she had used to clean the toilet to clean the entire bathroom. Also the glasses were not changed between guests, and this was in a 5 star hotel! After seeing that I now use my alcohol based handwash to clean the glasses before I use them.

  • or always bring a pair of sandels with you so when you go in you wouldnt pick up all the bacteria on the floor

  • This is really good advice. Toe fungus is really easy to get on bathroom floors. So, when going to hotel rooms, gyms, etc. get a pair of flip flops

  • or even worse some people wear shoes inside the hotel room so everything they step on (exp, washroom, dirt) gets on your foot

  • this is good.. is so true!

  • but what about the hotel lobby. i dont want to stay a hotel with a dirty lobby. fuck staying in hotels man. fuck this guy.

  • take germ x lol i use it some times when i dont shower to make sure my " wingman" is germ free and its one hell of a sensation !! avoid the balls trust me it was a scorcher!

  • I just buy my own paper cups for drinking and cleaning.

And ask the housekeeper for some new linens, and disinfectant.

  • I hate to tell this guy but, the best antiseptic is dry warm air. We did an experiment in microbiology, we when around testing hundreds of surfaces in our dorm building. The cleanest surfaces were, the toilet seat, phone, and door handle. The dirtiest (by microbe count) the toothbrush and kitchen sponge. If you actually learn about microbiology it would change your opinion on "sanitation".

  • @blizzard242 Actually, you're close. It's cold dry air. Ever been in a hospital? They are kept cool on purpose. Most pathogenic (disease causing) bacteria prefer 96-104 F, so keeping the temps low discourages growth. Most bacteria are very susceptible to dehydration, so hospital air is kept dry as well.

  • @cpovey1 You are correct. I don't know what I was thinking. Cool air holds less moister than warm air.

  • i saw this story that a guy who use colgate toothpaste there was a dead bug in the tube. it was nasty. i never used colgate again.

  • hot water from the tap will not do anything to the bacteria in the glass. normal hot water is about 180F, which won't kill enough bacteria to be effective. use soap, duh.

  • Maybe so. But it is better to use the normal hot water than not using it at all if housekeeping can't give the guest a clean cup. Sometimes, I'd rather just buy a few plastic cups from the local store which are clean and are easy to dispose.

  • I'm traveling now and I always keep a small travel mug in my suitcase. It's also great for storing your toothbrush and toothpaste in when your packing.

  • @DJKydKrazy BAD INFO! Normal hot water is around 120F. Your 180F is enough to cause burns in less then a second. Soap does not kill most bacteria. I have a BS in microbiology-what are your qualifications? Best to use disposable plastic or paper cups in bathrooms-after this message, I will pack my own from now on.

  • @cpovey1 I have a BS in microbiology from a better school than you, so eat shit. I never said soap kills bacteria, but it washes enough of it away to render things safe. If soap wasn't effective like you are saying we'd all be rolling around in a pile of our own filth and eating off dishes teeming with all kinds of pathogens. I guess you probably are, though, since you're distrusting of soap. By the way, we're both wrong, hot water is usually set at 140F. Still, use soap, don't listen to fools.

  • @DJKydKrazy 20-3- years ago, hot water was around 140, but today most places use 120 F, for reason of safety and economy. Essentially all pathogenic bacteria are killed at 140 F (for several minutes), which is the temp above which hot food must be held. I never said you said that soap kills bacteria-reread my original posting.

  • @DJKydKrazy

And if you remove the bedspread, take the decorative bolsters off too - and try not to drag them across the pillows! [Also - the best place to put your suitcase is NOT on the floor. Bedbugs can get into it there and you will take them home with you!!]

  • @DJKydKrazy use both at once or just use a bit of the vodka u've got left from last night :-P

  • that was a good one.
