i know how to categorize john prine as GREAT!!! i have never understoode why people don't realize j.p.is a serious writer.i've been listen to j.p.sense 1975 look hear i could go no and no but it come down to this you get it or you don't and you don't categorize music just make good music.john prine i hope your around for ever

Music critics and the like seem to find it impossible to classify John Prine's music, but I think "modern folk" comes pretty close.  His songs are very entertaining and appealing!
