  • Professor Molester

  • just WRONG and desperately naive, your humour has no humanity - I've also reported it - I suggest you try again, don't give me its just a joke - that's what they said in the 70's... pathetic

  • Its funny and explained very well in the description.

If you are illiterate, cannot read the description and get all angry about it, you are a flid and a spacker and you wear your mummy's tights and have a poo in them.

Get a grip of yourselves people

  • LOL!!! SPASTIC SCHOOL FOR SPASTIC SPACEBOYS! CLASSIC!! You are a real genuine CUNT my friend. A legendary cunt. Just tremendous.

  • lol... hair lip! you are a cunt, tho a funny cunt!

  • I wanted to watch this and not listen to your shit.

  • 39 people like it up shit creek!

  • A quality remake, LMAO

  • Lol, "I didnt realize Sambo Joe was there until he smiled" lol

  • lmao

  • god, there are some boring bastards out there, politically correct arseholes who have fucked this country right up.get a fucking life and dont watch it if you dont like it,fuckwits.

  • Professor Molestor and Sambo Joe? wtf kind of shit is that

  • Can't remember this show but it looks crap anyway. Found your version mildly amusing though. Bring back the 70's and political incorrectness I say!! Much better times than the sad, sorry state of affairs we live in today. :) Cue someone moaning at me.....

  • Aaargh! Why make a mockery of such a great series?

  • How is it no-one has commented on Professor Molestor? GENIUS! :D

  • i am guessing you are either -

    1) an extremely unfunny aspie without testicles

    or

    2) a retard

  • i wanted to watch this and not listen to your shit

  • Thanks for your kind words???

I take it that your moniker - Rocksoliddude1 - is either:

    a) A reference to your ongoing constipation problems; or

    b) The feeling inside your underwear when you watch "man on man" porn?

    - Take a chill pill! ;-)

  • @Agaricfly68 Gday mate its incredible the amount of folk who's minds seem to be selective in terms of what info they absorb???? You clearly stated that these viewpoints were not that of your own n were doing it for a laugh???? Anyway I cracked up at a couple of moments n fair play to you mate!!! I HATE ALL FORMS OF PREJUDICE n also have an openmind n love comedy n to hell with most forms of censorship!!!!

  • Very disappointed with your unnecessary and illogical racist dubbing of the Black male character, originally known as 'Tom'. Despicable.

Racist scum are oxygen thieves - as well as the hideous haemorrhoid on the backside of the Human Race.

    REPORTED!

  • I'm disappointed that you've taken this out of context.

If you'd read my introduction, you'd have seen that the diaolgue was in keeping with the time in which it was recorded, i.e. the early 1970's, and was deliberately 'incorrect' on a number of levels.

This was the era of tv shows such as "Love Thy Neighbour." and a plethora of other ethically unsound television.

Can I reiterate, once and for all, that I abhor, and in no way condone, racism.

  • Before posting this clip, I showed it to a number of non-white-Anglo-Saxon-Protestant friends, because I wanted to gauge whether they'd have been happy to hear such dialogue. Whilst I can't canvas everybody on the planet, the feedback I got from all those canvassed was positive, otherwise I would never have posted the clip in the first place.

    I hope I've explained myself...

    Thanks!

  • @baddice Not that I wish to partake in your petty little squabble, but I wanted to point something out to you:

To be a thief of something, it has to belong to someone. Oxygen does not 'belong' to anyone, ergo, cannot be stolen.

  • This was fucking creepy, couldn't remember the name of the show for years and have been looking for it on youtube.

  • ouch!!

  • Bloody hell! This is really disturbing. I had blocked the memory of this out of my brain.

    Amazing!

  • Your a boring fucker aren't you. It took just over 2 minutes to say something mildly amusing, the rest of it was just narration by a retard.

  • I've watched this so many times, with my other half. It's so funny. We wet ourselves laughing every time. Favourite line is 'I called the boy from space a flid, and a spacca.' Added to My Favourites forever more! Please Mark, do another one!

  • LOL that was funny. We used to have to watch this in the infants in the late 70s/early80s and i thought they were albinos. I remember the tune to this. I never watched it at home though, it was always in school!

  • Very funny, almost peed myself.I too saw this in the 70s.PC is why things are dull nowadays.

  • Ditto - I'm 37 and this scared the crap out of me when I was a kid too! Your narration was very funny! Cheers. Anyone know how we could get hold of the original? I see some of the other stories are on youtube in their original form.

  • Fuckin funny ! I did a little sex wee in my pants when i thought about the touching game

  • I have this on dvd if anyone is interested PM me!

  • Remember this from early 80's watching this at school in total fear each time!!!

  • I remember shaking with fear when we watched this in school. This seems to have terrified a genetation, i'm 36 now and a hardended horror film fan, maybe this caused it?

  • Shit, I remember this - wow!

  • This is the repeated version. The original was screened in about 1972.

  • well funny,nice one

  • The Prof bares an uncanny resemblance to Arthur Lowe wouldn't you say?

This used to scare the fook out of me too. Good times!

  • funny as f*ck..nice one!

  • i remember this an it used to scare me too ,, even if it did get you out of english lessons,,,

excellent job with the narrating lol!! funny as fuck

    lol

  • oh my word i remeber this shit from back in school in the 90s and that skinny man used to freak me out to lol am glad it wasnt just me who thought this was scary ther plenty of people who thought this to dark towers was also weird and freak y

  • Shame about the racism, eh?

  • dosnt mean he hates blacks, itz just a name man..

  • lol prof molester

  • Comment removed

  • A lot of the Look and Read stuff was quite freaky, looking back on it. The Boy From Space and Dark Towers used to spook me out.

  • The thin man used to scare the shit out of me

  • Ha-ha This is actually Funny

The boy from space, also stared in the movie SCUM !!

  • I am also 34 - This is still the scariest thing ever - I have told my children about it when they have been scared of irrational things - recounting the sleepless nights I had after watching this at school. Now they have seen this they think I am I complete doughnut!

  • Just seeing this sends terrifying chills all over me. I'm 34 & this gave me nightmares right into my teens. Peep Peep & the Thin Man still have the power to send shivers down the back of a genration.

  • look and read was the most terrifying programme ever! but so friggin awesome its unbelievable!!

  • im 34 now,and remember this so much, but for the wrong reasons.......we were all shit scared of the thin man....very creepy for kids

  • I watched this when i was 5 or 6 at school, which was around 1994/5! I have never forgotten this, it scared me so much, although I didnt realise this was from the 70's im guessing my infants school had really bad funding issues...

Wasnt there a lighthouse somewhere in this show too? thats the main part i remember where the children run up the lighthouse away from the thin man.

  • Looks like a David Bowie video!

  • This used to shit us all up as kids at school ! think i speak for our generation

  • I remember watching this as a kid at school. The only other look and read programmes that I watched were 'Sky hunter', 'Dark Towers' and 'Fairground'. My brother also watched 'Badger Girl' at school. Towers and this one (which is written by the great Richard 'Robin of Sherwood & Catweazle' Carpenter) were strong stories. I remember the books that we had with them as well. They don't make 'em like this anymore. I feel proud to be a part of this great British School culture..

  • That programe was all wrong on so many levels...now i need to go back in the dark place under the staires ...its safe there the thin man wont find me .

  • I remember this from schooldays...that thin man was so creepy...we had the text book too...damn...bet that scary programwouldnot be allowed in school now!!!Creepy...

  • Yes. about 23 years since i've seen this and the thin man used to shit me right up. I was waiting outside the headmistress' office one day and i swear i saw that evil bastard walk past the doors.

  • wouldnt supprise me I once thought I served him in first on a flight to LA I nearly wet myself and that boy pepe was a freak 2

  • This was one of the absolute best Look and Read serials the other being Sky Hunter about illegal bird trading. I originally saw this in 1980 but it was made in 1971. They changed the presenting links around the story because of the change in the English language.

This was and still is bloody creepy though!!

  • you serious I use to be scared as hell, it was the old man who did it he was freaky

  • Nope, this is still scary to watch 30 years later - the Thin Man is still the freakiest character ever !

  • thank you! i am no longer scared of this silly program!

  • always wondered what happend in the end...30 years later here we are...

  • i watched this at school in the 90s - scared the shit out of me! i ve always remebered it vaguely, but now seeing this brings it all back!

  • old 80s children shit was scary as fuck including this messed up disturbing sci fi and chocky when you compare it to family viewing tv now is tame as shit

  • sweet jesus!

Mmaybe a support group should be started. I thought i was the only one that couldn't get to sleep for 2 nights after this was on. far to 'brave' to admit this to anyone.

it's good to share. Group hug!

  • I gotta admit, I'm 32 years old and I remember this from when I was at school. It scared the shit out of me too. I am about to watch it and I can feel the fear already creeping over me.

  • i remember it too. im 34 now. he had a silver suit didnt he? i havent watched it yet. just tryinmg to see what i remember

  • None of my friends seem to remember this freaky program from school. Has anyone got a real clip without the voice-over?

  • I do! i'm uploading the story daily starting with the first part tonight!

  • When I was a wee boy "The Boy from Space" was the scariest sh*t I'd ever seen. I used to pretend I was ill so I didn't have to go to school and watch this f*cked up sh*t. Your overdubbing has exorcised the demon. I'm now 33 years old and can watch it without cr*pping myself

  • Me to mate....i used to get nightmares watching this...

  • Hey! I'm an unwitting therapist!!!

I'm happy to know that I have exorcised your demons...

Cheques (blank ones) should be made payable to Mark Crawshaw, Leeds.

    Sleep safely now!!! ;-)

PS. Failing that, I own a company that sells incontinence pants.

As someone who has posted a favourable comment here, I'd be more than happy to provide you with some (in a choice of colours.. though piss yellow seems to be a favourite) at heavily discounted prices.

    Thank you!

  • @gilliesmacdonald not as scary as chocky that was fking scary shit too i had to leave the room bit i cud still hear that scream arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh shit my shit

  • Sambo Joe is funny! Who gives a shit it it's racist? So what?

  • Sorry, I hadn't read your response to Keogh.

If you don't have any original audio then I suppose I'll have to let you off.

  • You have rare footage here so, if you can, please post it, minus daft overdub, with the original audio and we can all bathe in the nostalgic glow.

  • Fantastic! Nice work.

Sambo Joe! Ha ha ha ha!

  • As per Trekkygeek's comments, can I please re-iterate that I too am in no way racist.

As previously mentioned, this is 70's tv footage, with a 70's tv mentality in the dialogue. Anyone old enough will recall that language such as that I've used here was commonplace in many programmes of the time e.g. 'The Sweeney' & 'Till death Us Do Part.'

The dialogue does not, in any way, reflect my views on any non W.A.S.P person, nor anyone with a physical/mental disibility.

    I thank you!

  • Nice one mate. Sambo Joe, not PC but so damn funny. (and no, before you all start slagging me off for thinking it was funny, I'm no racist)

  • It was funny until you mentioned Sambo Joe - come on, mate - there was no need for that.

  • Hahahahahahaha

  • fantastic narration!!

not only amusing but very perceptive too.

make some more please, i like this style of comedy!

  • cheers for the xplanation but we would still like you to post an un-narrated version even if the sound quality is very poor. Cheers

  • By virtue, an un-narrated version would be silent!

Therefore, just turn off the sound if it annoys/offends.

Sorry for the crass response, but you wouldn't be able to make out the dialogue even if I did post the original version... It's just white noise. I obtained the title music from a different source.

    hope this clarifies matters.

    Best wishes!

  • Thanks for the comments - both positive & negative. The footage was on a very old Betamax video cassette. Unfortunately, massive problems with sound degradation (title music aside) rendered it completely unlistenable (barely audible speech & lots of white noise). Sorry!

I also didn't realise that rewriting the script would be seen, by some, as such an act of sacrilege, but isn't that what happened with the English speaking versions of the original Magic Roundabout!?

    The Agaric Fly, Leeds

  • can you post the show without the narration

  • Dreadful and creepy. You should have just posted the show. That would have been better.

  • Haha, boy's from space are better than girl's from space!!!

  • i had nightmares with this. i was about 12. but this made me piss my pants. good one*****

  • But did you wet yourself when you were 12, too? Through fear of the scary alien man?

Thank you for the positive feedback...

    It's appreciated.

    Best wishes!

  • How dare you? this was a quality show when I was a lad

  • Ha!Ha!

Exactly... But when you were a kid!

In the same way that you probably thought that Computer Battleships was the apogee of hi-tech entertainment. ;-)

  • lol, computer battleships was ace.

Where did you find this show repeated? The last time i saw it was at primary school. We had the read along books and everything lol. i left primary school about 25 years ago. God, i feel old now.

  • I used to love this lol

  • fucking piss funny

  • thank you, kind sir! :)

  • You are a sick man. Fantastic.

  • Thank you! This comment made it all worthwhile.

  • Very Funny Mark, although you really should act your age.

I can't help wonder how many kids have been traumatized by appearing on TV shows like in the 80's and were "felt up" in the green room,

Only years later to appear on Trisha or Jeremy Kyle and reveal that ever since then they "haven't been able to eat tinned strawberries"

However, despite the lousy production values it trounces Big Brother for viewability!

  • Yes he did, but also a scary Leeds United sort of person sent me here from Facebook. I thought it would be a nice video about flowers and kittens, but it wasn't!

  • Ha!Ha!

    Thanks for the comment, Walter.

Though, regrettably, your posting is actually more entertaining than my lame video!

Did Dennis the Menace bully you into writing on here?

    Cheers!

  • Cor, that was a very exciting story. I hope you will do some more.

    Best wishes from

    Walter the softy
