It's funny that this song is very reminiscent of Mr. Dickinson's solo career, which inflicts in his stage posture and enthusiasm.

If you notice his countenance on songs such as "When The Wild Wind Blows" (which is a song resembling those of The X-Factor and Virtual XI albums) you can see a soon-to-be-out-maiden guy.

Iron Maiden should invest more in faster songs just like in the past, these long repetitive songs are great as well, but for one album only!

I disagree entirely, Talisman isn't even one of the strongest songs for me. Starblind and Isle of Avalon are two of the best post-reunion songs we've seen, both unlike anything else in the Maiden catalog. Coming Home is the younger, and superior, brother of Out of the Shadows. The Alchemist and When The Wild Wind Blows are both superb songs as well. To call it the worst Maiden album is objectively pretty ridiculous when you have No Prayer, Virtual XI, and Fear of the Dark.

@ViperLord21 I personally think Final Frontier is amazing. One of my favorite maiden albums. That said I disagree with the idea that No prayer or Fear of the Dark could be there worst. I believe that honor of being the 'worst' of an awesome career belongs to X-Factor or Virtual XI personally.

Fear had too many songs that drag it down for me. That said, Afraid to Shoot Strangers and Judas Be My Guide are real gems, and course you have the title track and Be Quick or Be Dead. No Prayer has some redeeming songs too, and Virtual XI would probably be considered a better album if the production wasn't so shitty.

@DamageIncM I dunno what's wrong with you man. The Final Frontier is arguably the best album from then since Seventh Son. I say arguably, cause I love the new album, but Dance of Death, AMOLAD, and BNW all fucking hit the same chord this album did, just this one did it better for me. The whole track list from beginning to end, Is epic! Its got your mandatory hit style song (The title track), but then its got a fast paced pair of awesome in El Dorado and The Alchemist.

Like I said, I'll have another listen some time, it might get better for me.

I don't know though, cause I've listened to "AMOLAD" quite a lot, and it slowly grew on me, but I have little urge to go get it and listen to it, just occasionally.

While you could wake me up in the middle of the night to go and listen to "BNW", "PS", or any epic album like that.

For "AMOLAD" I'd turn around and sleep...

@DamageIncM I guess to each there own. I mean, I know FF took me more then one play through to get hooked. But i gave it a few spins for a month, and found an odd thing happening......on the first shot, I barely made it through, I was satisfied, but not estatic like i thought i was going to be. Dance of Death had done the same thing however, so i kept popping it in every now and again. Then, my fourth week after buying it, i was in my room listening to it, when suddenly it dawned on me.

@DamageIncM I realized right then, that for the past three days, the FInal Frontier (whole album) had been ALL i was listening too. And i wasn't shocked or surprised, cause as i looked back, i realized more and more each song had grown on me individually, until it sold itself as a whole to me to be at LEAST on par with Brave New World, if not better. It was just so similiar to so many albums, yet so different from the sheer number of similiarities, that it took some getting used to.

@DamageIncM It hits the emotional side with this song, and Mother of Mercy, (this song is me and my girlfriend's song ;) ). to round it out comes the lighter epic length track, The man Who would be King, the Powerslave style heavy epic, in The Talisman and Starblind, the exciting story telling of Seventh Son in Isle of Avalon, and then the nice gentle touch down in that almost twelve minute epic, When the Wild Wind Blows. Its like a little compliation of everything that's made Maiden awesome!!

@TrueIronMaidenFan no one can tell who is truly the best. i have a friend studying singing in the wienna academy so she knows what she is talking about, she is a die hard maiden fan but she thinks mercury was the best singer in the industry. i think each is better in his own way, not to mention their genres are completely different. they are both amazing, but there are lots of better singers that no one even knows of... there are lots of better guitar players than Satrianni but he's still no1:)
