@dcottoncandy Keep trying. You just have to change the muscle memory of your fingers. They're probably so used to plaiting/braiding that the desire to braid is somewhat automatic. It took me a while to "reprogram" my fingers.
i was looking for a video like this for so long none of the other ones showed good enough. you made it so easy!! i will deff be styling my little sisters hair like this. ive been looking for natural styles for her super curly hair, it gets too frizzy with braids. thanks =]:
This is the first video I've watched on three-strand twisting and I feel confident in saying I won't have to go back to find any others! Using the three different colors of yarn AND moving slowly makes it perfect. I'll be trying these this weekend. Thanks for posting this!
This tutorial really helped me :) I'm glad you chose different colors for the strands otherwise I'd be lost. I appreciate you making this video it was easy to follow.
Thank you very, very much! I just saw this method online and while the video that was recommended was really good, your method of using yarn is brilliant! Seeing the twist in color helps. I'm still trying to get coordinated to do this but by using your video, I hope to get this twist accomplished. Thanks for your ingenuity!!
Thanks so much this really helped alot I'm learning that this whole natural hair thing is really a learn as you go process so any new techniques really help
Ok. this is really helpful but I will definitely have to practice this because just when I think I got it from the tutorial I get confused again. I am inspired, thank you,
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I can do the two strand twist without problems but could never do the three strand twist. The minute I saw your video it clicked. I grabbed one of my daughters and did it without problems. She went to school the next day with a complete head of three strand twists.
This is crazy because all this time i was like, why do they keep calling a braid a three strand twist?. LOL I was confused but da-n!! Now I'm about to go look at these videos. I love the way you taught us. Thanks!!
OMG, I love you!!!!!!!!!! Do you understand how many vids I've seen and couldn't grasp it, you are a three-stand twist god. thank you for breaking it down. I will try this next hair wash..such a simply idea and I never though about color coating it!
Thank you so much for breaking this down by using three yarn strings! This is awesome. It's made my day, lol. I've been wanting to learn how to do this for the longest. =]
No it's not...At first that's what I thought too...but actually look at what she is doing. When you plait each piece moves to the middle. This twist takes the piece furthest to our left (her right) and moves it to our right (her left). So it's like each section gets a turn to wrap around towards the right (her left) while a plait gives each section a turn to move from either side to the middle. Sounds confusing I know lol. But watch the movement closely, you will get it : )
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!! I have been trying to watch some videos but it's always hard to see. The yarn is wonderful for demonstrative purposes. Thank you.
your great!!
