  • Yes, I think it is possible to change the cap yourself. I simply did not remove mine since it was not necessary for the video, and it saved me some time and effort. If I'm not mistaken, you would remove the shift mechanism (where the cables connect with the hub) and the cap is press fit onto the hub bearings. However, I am not sure if this is a "do-it-yourself" project, or if it requires the hub be sent in to an authorized Rohloff service center. As well, can the cap be purchased seperately?

  • And how is it possible, to change the normal cap against a discbrake cap by myself ? In this video it look like you can not built the axle and the cap apart. Is it true ?
