Both Dick Cheney and Roland Burris are well respected and Great Men. Screw you all!
They were the "best ever"...both of them, in their respected fields of service and caring to this country and your children and babies, from which they have and will protect from danger.
Sen. Burris should now opt not to run for the seat in the 2010 election. He seems to have trouble winning PRIMARIES let alone general elections. If he chose to run, and actually gets the nod, chances that this seat goes Republican in Nov of 2010 increase greatly.
Nothing against Burris, but he didn't win - Blago did. Blago played the race card and Harry Reid folded like the cheap suit he really is. The decision on this seat should have been placed into the hands of the voters of Illinois where it rightfully belongs.
When are we going to get term limits in Congress? Wake up, people! We will be subservient to the corrupt 2-party system until we do.
yeah blago played the race card but obama gave Reid cover to deny him the seat by publicly opposing the seating. the real problem was that they knew that there was no legal basis for them to deny him the seat. had they done that it would have gone to court and burris could likely have won due to the Powell v. McCormack legal precedent. so they could either play it out and kept this in the national spotlight for a few more months or just give in and seat him. they chose the latter.
congrads. we now have a tainted senator. yes technically blago had a constitutional right to choose burris. but when push comes to shove are we really getting the best from illinois?! i am a democrat, but do democrats care more about quantity or quality?!
Not quite. This is different. An honest hardworking citizen who was appointed by a governor who was NOT YET impeached but treated in such shameful way deserves the applause for standing his ground for his right. So in short that is what the applause is for.
Go govenor f word and Roland Burris. I hope that he make a good senator. He has a chance to. Govenor f word will be small news until he is fully impeached.
This is the funniest thing in the world to me! I'm so happy! Go Buriss Go! How dare Reid claim that he had any right to deny him the seat! Shame on the Dems, Obama and Chicago for letting it go for so. You cant stop THE LAW. He fought the law and WON! :) Ha!

Regardless of if he runs or not, it's the Republican's seat to lose in 2010.

What irony,
Dick Cheney administers an oath to "protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America"
That traitor, Cheney, should have been impeached years ago.

"Against all enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC... " ...
... one of whom is the S.O.B. administering this oath to me as I look him in the eye...
