No... because local roads are one thing... the Interstate Freeways are another. The Internet is making it more and more possible that someone in Texas can sell to someone in Utah. At that point, the laws of Texas have to somehow meld with the laws of Utah. Each of these scenarios that stretch outside of a local community and outside of a state can only be handled by a federal government which is why we have the system that we do.

The health care insurance system is broken. We absolutely need reform of some kind, but not a government takeover. Why? Look at how well the government has done running benefit programs such as Medicare and Social Security. Medicare is slated to go bankrupt in 2015 and Social Security in 2023, perhaps sooner. When your healthcare goes bankrupt, then you'll be SOL. Instead, there needs to be alternatives such as Health Savings Accounts and Co-ops. The more alternatives, the better for us.
Please ask why healthcare is so expensive. It wasn't always this way. At least do so before you clamor for the government to undergo a giant expansion.

If you think those murderous blood sucking insurance profits didn't have anything to do with it, than you are kidding yourselves. No... because local roads are one thing... the Interstate Freeways are another. The Internet is making it more and more possible that someone in Texas can sell to someone in Utah. At that point, the laws of Texas have to somehow meld with the laws of Utah. Each of these scenarios that stretch outside of a local community and outside of a state can only be handled by a federal government which is why we have the system that we do.
The federal government is the "community" of servants serving us.

The Senate Finance Committee is crap. The bill made by the House and the Senate will dominate hte legislation. Excuse me, BIGELLOW, but it is (primarily) the Democrats who are trying to provide help for Obama to force federal funding of abortion-on-demand in Obamacare...not the Republicans. Of course, there are exceptions on both sides of isle. The health care insurance system is broken. We absolutely need reform of some kind, but not a government takeover. Why? Look at how well the government has done running benefit programs such as Medicare and Social Security. Medicare is slated to go bankrupt in 2015 and Social Security in 2023, perhaps sooner. When your healthcare goes bankrupt, then you'll be SOL. Instead, there needs to be alternatives such as Health Savings Accounts and Co-ops. The more alternatives, the better for us.

Considering Obama was nominated two weeks into his term as president for the Nobel peace prize without really doing anything to deserve it then you could say in your words that he stole it since it denied someone else from getting it.
