i found out a advanced technique called wave feedback, that can stop you falling even if you muck your recovery up and directs you behind a charcter on flat stages, pm if you want to know the technique helps out tonnes on 75m, new pork and final destination
the only advanced technique i discovered in brawl was shffling and that still doesn't work nearly as well as in melee.. wavedashing, l-cancelling, teching, etc are all gone..

At this level the game is 50% mindgames and 50% technical skill. It's insane, and most apparent when people try to get back on stage after getting knocked off. We understand; plenty of players in all fighting games learn to play lower tier characters and play them well. But the higher in skill you go in the tournament scene, the less of these low tier characters you see. Tier's don't mean Low Tier has no chance against Top Tier; they just mean that you'll have a much harder chance winning.
All right now, settle down, children. Roy is stronger than Marth as in his smash attacks are, for the most part, stronger. However, Roy is much less of a good character because of his slow speed, poor recovery, and because he's a fast faller. You rarely see Roy in tournaments because quite simply, he sucks. European tier list is inaccurate and garbage... Roy is definitely not low (only reason he's worse than marth is because he's a bit slower and falls like a mother-f)... Falco is garbage and I've proven to many people in ottawa (thats where I live). Zelda is better jigglypuff hands down.

if ur looking for power with similarity to marth that would be roy, roy not onli is stronger, with the down side of being a bit slower, has a strong counter that hooks u downwards if ur off the map, good move if the opponent is a persisten attack just one counter and he'll be dead if he has 70%+
Um there's no such thing as a "real pro" trying to win tourneys with mid and low tier characters,with the exception of a few, because those characters can't win tourneys. There would be no tier list in smash if the game was balanced. Make since?
Let's all give Ken a hand for ruining the world of Smash and being overrated. It's because of him that so many people use Marth. Plus, there's nothing impressive about his "combos." A real player doesn't have a signature combo. A real player will create combos on the fly. A real player will refuse to play on Final Destination because it's extremely unfair towards characters like DK and Kirby. A real "pro" can play on any stage with any character.
Too bad, I read an interview with Ken and he is kind of an asshole. He is amazing at the game though.....yet, he would like to see Sephiroth in Brawl....What the hell?

Tier lists show what characters come out on top at Pro-level play. If you had a pro-level Fox and a pro-level Jigglypuff, Fox would win almost always.

Yeah; it just shows how each character does statistically, but in the end, all that matters is skill. Very few matches in Smash (or any fighting game) are perfectly even; part of a game is learning to overcome the weaknesses of your character.

European tier list is inaccurate and garbage... Roy is definitely not low (only reason he's worse than marth is because he's a bit slower and falls like a mother-f)... Falco is garbage and I've proven to many people in ottawa (thats where I live). Zelda is better jigglypuff hands down.

First of all, that is the NTSC (North America and Japan) tier list. Second of all, tier lists apply to an international competitive setting; based on how competitive tournament players play around the world, these are THEIR tiers.

Third of all, understand what tiers mean before you go on a rant. Higher ranked characters don't mean they can beat lower ranked characters in a fight. Higher ranked characters are characters that generally do better than lower ranked characters. Fourth of all but already somewhat mentioned, this tier list doesn't apply to how you and your friends play, it's based on how people play in competitive tournaments around the world.

This stage's edge pisses me off. Iv'e killed myself a few times the way ken did on his last stock like that.
Thats why I love final destinations edge... its so easy recover if you overwipe.

Marth has speed in his attacks and is a master of edgegaurding, while Roy is all about power and a mastering of SHFFL

I do agree, but in some cases, you want to keep hitting with the inside of the sword so you can execute more combos with lighter foes.

uhh retard im talking on a general basis, if marth was stronger than roy, THEN WHY THE FK DO WE EVEN NEED A ROY IN THE FIRST PLACE FAGGOT. you think that the developers of SSMB would be so stupid as to make it so that marth was stronger and faster than roy. think before u speak buddy. its tru SOME...i repeat SOME of marth moves do same if not just a bit more then roys due to tip, but on a overall view of power ROY IS MUCH GREATER.

because they prefer speed over power thats all they think that with higher speed they can wavedash dodge and counter faster along with spikes so its like thinking of doing more little hits then missing great hits that arent gonna work

...it's too bad that marth has such...uhh..weak attacks. when he attacks they don't send the oppenet flying at all, it's like you're attacking them with a plastic tube...o well, he is fast so i suppose that makes up for it.

if ur looking for power with similarity to marth that would be roy, roy not onli is stronger, with the down side of being a bit slower, has a strong counter that hooks u downwards if ur off the map, good move if the opponent is a persisten attack just one counter and he'll be dead if he has 70%+

Um there's no such thing as a "real pro" trying to win tourneys with mid and low tier characters,with the exception of a few, because those characters can't win tourneys. There would be no tier list in smash if the game was balanced. Make since?

Lets look at marth
Pros: Good reach nice combos good recovery WT-FSmash
Cons: Average speed Easy to combo No Projectiles
With ken's "def and counter" style on the decline, we may see marth fall to high tier and perhaps falco (with the aid of PC) will wind up top tier.
those tier lists are more dynamic than people realize

Let's all give Ken a hand for ruining the world of Smash and being overrated. It's because of him that so many people use Marth. Plus, there's nothing impressive about his "combos." A real player doesn't have a signature combo. A real player will create combos on the fly. A real player will refuse to play on Final Destination because it's extremely unfair towards characters like DK and Kirby. A real "pro" can play on any stage with any character.
