1. Hunting white fured seal pups has been illegal in Canada for decades. 2. A sealer found to have poached even a single seal pup has their boat, equipment and entire catch seized. They lose their licence and are fined for every seal they've poached and depending on where they poached it they could face jail time. Canada is by no means lax in the enforcement of these regulations. 3. Clubbing is as if not more humane then the tools and methods used to slaughter cows when performed correctly.

Lol They haven't killed a baby seal since 1982, it's illegal now. They also take very few animals in a very quota controlled environment. It's no different then fishing, hunting, raising cattle. Your all a bunch of bleeding hearts, grow up. Animals kill animals.

imanoob, I'm a Canadian and I'm here to tell you that "they" killed hundreds of thousands seals in eastern Canada last year. The quota this year is 380,000. If you're an American, you must be referring to the fact that the US banned seal products, but that was in 1979. Not all animals kill animals, either. Aren't we an evolving species??

whoever thought of making this video is an ignorant son of a bitch. Seal hunting is a part of eastern canadain culture, we do not kill BABY seals! only adults! There is NO difference between seal hunting and killing farm animals for their meat. As i might also add that it is safer to club a seal than to shoot it. A bullet can miss the head of the seal leaving it injured and letting it get away to suffer. Clubbing hits the head directly and the seal dies instantly with no pain or suffering.
