Some of them F5# are actually G5.  I trying to tell you she hit a B5 in full chest in 1986 London. I am serious too. She hit a F5# in the same song too. Whitney in this era could hit any note she felt like it.

Whitney was a true soprano and still is!  She regaining her registers, but MC could never sing soprano like this clip I don't think anyone could. Whitney was the highest soprano voice in prime!

Whitney Houston is now a Mezzo-Soprano. She is a big, huge and %100 Mezzo. Her bottom register thickened as she aged and it also got deeper. She wasn't a Mezzo when she first came out, though. She could still possibly belt F#5 and G5 if she really really really wanted to try. Oh, Mariah is capable of singing both Soprano and Alto.

27 years old! I have been listening to Whitney live or a very long time and convinced in her prime her range was capable of 5 octaves which she claimed she had. Young Whitney could do anything she wanted with that big voice of hers. People mistake her control with lack of her range. Whitney is a controlled singer, but don't get twisted she is very very multi-octave!
