  • NORWEGIAN ACCORDION you DINGBAT

  • Nice instrument, but you're butchering this Polka. I'll bet that you read music instead of playing by ear as I used to 40 years ago. You got to play with your heart, instead you sound like a robot.

  • @tegeirsagent thanks for your input and advise! this was about 6 years ago when I started on the chromatic. I believe ( hope) I've got better since....but You be the judge of it...I invite You to check out my newest videos.

    best regards,

    Andrew

  • ...ale nie kryje tu ze Sloweńcy grają ją o wiele lepiej. Np. Walter Ostanek -Polka King

  • Polka have nothing to do with German. It's original from Poland and represent Poland and mean the lady of Poland .

  • @leonpona Polka has it's origins in Bohemia - an area belonging to current Czech Republic. No specific connections to Poland. Check e.g., Wikipedia for details.

  • Your execution is very superb and super professionist!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (from Italy I like very mach your music)

  • Walter certainly is a great polka player. I just watched a program about Walter on Bravo and he is an amazing musician. He has a collection of many accordions and he plans to open a museum. He showed some of his musical instruments and too many to even count. He has done a lot of the lively heartwarming music that he plays. Hats of to Walter.

  • Memories from when I was a little kid. Thanks!

  • Wow! super!! 5*****

  • Very very good music !

    Odette

  • Very nicely played. I have also the sheet music of this song.

    Congrats,

    Istvan

  • European style polkas are more mellow, softer sounding than Mexican polkas which tend to be faster and are accompanied with bass guitar.

  • @dakotagerman1 First of all, you need psychological help and, secondly, what I commented on had NOTHING to do with your personal opinion about Mexicans and if you happen to hate us with a passion or whatever is your problem, not mine. So if you want to talk about your frustrations YouTube is not the place for it; like I said, go to a psychiatrist or a specialist you little Nazi cunt.

  • @dakotagerman1 Fuck You german ass

  • @MarinRayado

That's right! German ass. And can kiss my German ass, you fucking asshole spick. What are even doing looking at a video about German folk music (like the polka)?

How I hate Neanderthal Klingon Mexican scum. I wish I had a "Star Trek phaser" so I could vaporize every last one.

  • @dakotagerman1 Hahaha sucky my precious mexican dick bitch! Go suck Hitlers dick too!

  • Comment removed

  • @MarinRayado

Too bad I don't have that "Star Trek" phaser I need to vaporize all Mexican Neanderthals and Neanderthal Hitler (who was no Nordic superman but a Neanderthal subhuman just like the Mexicans).

  • @GAP4EVER you are right

  • @GAP4EVER I disagree with you kindly. As a bass player, musician, and player of Mexican polka in my band, Mexican polka is the opposite. European polka may be more mellow, but it is more pizzicato in the playing of it. Mexican polka is more relaxed in its playing and dancing. Of course I am talking of Norteno music. Tex-Mex style is a bit more pizzicato.

  • @Novistadores Well, you are the professional musician here and I wouldn't dare to question your knowledge but I still think that European polkas are more mellow than Mexican ones (norteño music, of course) because just listen to this song, it is soft, slow and mellow. The type of norteño that does seem mellow and slow are the chotis. But hey, it's just my appreciation and thank you for the musical lessons, dude. :)

  • @GAP4EVER I see your point too. There are certain Mexican polka that can be loud. So let's just say that we both learn something from each other.

  • @GAP4EVER oh yes but mexican polkas are acompanied by special spirit... and a particular flavor. cheers

  • It is known in America as a Button Accordian, it is known in Russia (its country of origin) as a Bayan.

  • never seen an accordian like that. very nice playing

  • Smekám a klaním se až k zemi , fakt paráda:)))

  • seems like a very hard instrument to learn. 3 (or is it 2?) types of motions in there pushing/pulling, pushing keys on both sides. XD

  • @D4N13Lf00 it's insane lol.. my teacher tried to teach me to play it... but it's a clusterfuck of things to do... and most men have trouble doing more than one thing at a time so yahh... fail

  • awsome melody well played !

    jolie melodie tres bien jouee!

  • accordions effin rock! dag on I might have to get me one soon! but I bet they cost alot

  • i hear you, I have been trying to get one for my father but htye cost like 3 months of my life!
