Nice instrument, but you're butchering this Polka. I'll bet that you read music instead of playing by ear as I used to 40 years ago. You got to play with your heart, instead you sound like a robot.
@tegeirsagent thanks for your input and advise! this was about 6 years ago when I started on the chromatic. I believe ( hope) I've got better since....but You be the judge of it...I invite You to check out my newest videos.
@leonpona Polka has it's origins in Bohemia - an area belonging to current Czech Republic. No specific connections to Poland. Check e.g., Wikipedia for details.
I've caught all the YT-Vids that I could find on you, and I get thrills &chills with all of them. (no kidding). I have a very sharp and discerning 'Ear' and lemme tell ya: You and your Petosa literally produce MAGIC! (My Beltuna doesn't 'sound' like this). Man,,, You've got Kick--- STYLE !!! (particularly evident in Moscow Nights). Thanx-Amillion for Sharing :~)
Magnifecent!!My mother wanted me to take the acordian. I chose guitar, instead. I don't play either one, now. If I was in the audience, Id be singing and "hooting" during the whole performance. Great work!!! =Stefan=

Hello ....... thank you for beautiful playing the accordion,,, !!! ..... I enjoyed it VERY MUCH...... you are very talented ...... I could listen all day to this lovely happy music..... I live in Australia...... what Country are you in ?
Walter certainly is a great polka player. I just watched a program about Walter on Bravo and he is an amazing musician. He has a collection of many accordions and he plans to open a museum. He showed some of his musical instruments and too many to even count. He has done a lot of the lively heartwarming music that he plays. Hats of to Walter.
@dakotagerman1 First of all, you need psychological help and, secondly, what I commented on had NOTHING to do with your personal opinion about Mexicans and if you happen to hate us with a passion or whatever is your problem, not mine. So if you want to talk about your frustrations YouTube is not the place for it; like I said, go to a psychiatrist or a specialist you little Nazi cunt.
Why should I be in love with the smelly, filthy cockroach-ridden Mexican?
He sneaks across the border and brings drugs all the way to the Great Plains and, even, Canada if he gets a chance (which is why, just as a precaution, the border is closed even to Americans).
He'd sooner knife you in the ribs than look at you. And, he steals: he pickpockets, he shoplifts.
That's right! German ass. And can kiss my German ass, you fucking asshole spick. What are even doing looking at a video about German folk music (like the polka)?
How I hate Neanderthal Klingon Mexican scum. I wish I had a "Star Trek phaser" so I could vaporize every last one.
Too bad I don't have that "Star Trek" phaser I need to vaporize all Mexican Neanderthals and Neanderthal Hitler (who was no Nordic superman but a Neanderthal subhuman just like the Mexicans).
@GAP4EVER I disagree with you kindly. As a bass player, musician, and player of Mexican polka in my band, Mexican polka is the opposite. European polka may be more mellow, but it is more pizzicato in the playing of it. Mexican polka is more relaxed in its playing and dancing. Of course I am talking of Norteno music. Tex-Mex style is a bit more pizzicato.
@Novistadores Well, you are the professional musician here and I wouldn't dare to question your knowledge but I still think that European polkas are more mellow than Mexican ones (norteño music, of course) because just listen to this song, it is soft, slow and mellow. The type of norteño that does seem mellow and slow are the chotis. But hey, it's just my appreciation and thank you for the musical lessons, dude. :)
@D4N13Lf00 it's insane lol.. my teacher tried to teach me to play it... but it's a clusterfuck of things to do... and most men have trouble doing more than one thing at a time so yahh... fail
Good job - good one to dance too - I am going to see Brave Combo in OK City this friday - oddest looking polka band you ever saw - no leiderhozen, no white shirts, they look like a rock band and are really great - thanks
I don't know how long I searched until I found a good quality video of a polka song! My father said he used to play the accordian as a child, and he enjoyed the video too!

Polka music is reason enough to back over an accordion with your car.
And then throw the car in reverse and do it again. . .

European style polkas are more mellow, softer sounding than Mexican polkas which tend to be faster and are accompanied with bass guitar.
