Polka have nothing to do with German. It's original from Poland and represent Poland and mean the lady of Poland .

Walter certainly is a great polka player. I just watched a program about Walter on Bravo and he is an amazing musician. He has a collection of many accordions and he plans to open a museum. He showed some of his musical instruments and too many to even count. He has done a lot of the lively heartwarming music that he plays. Hats of to Walter.

@GAP4EVER I disagree with you kindly. As a bass player, musician, and player of Mexican polka in my band, Mexican polka is the opposite. European polka may be more mellow, but it is more pizzicato in the playing of it. Mexican polka is more relaxed in its playing and dancing. Of course I am talking of Norteno music. Tex-Mex style is a bit more pizzicato.

@Novistadores Well, you are the professional musician here and I wouldn't dare to question your knowledge but I still think that European polkas are more mellow than Mexican ones (norteño music, of course) because just listen to this song, it is soft, slow and mellow. The type of norteño that does seem mellow and slow are the chotis. But hey, it's just my appreciation and thank you for the musical lessons, dude. :)
