I believe you have an incorrect view on religion. I would like to point out that you mentioned rules and guidelines as the same thing. I would like to tell you that they are different. Rules must be follwed where as guidelines are advice or recommendations. Christianity involves guidelines. When you choose to follow the guidelines you begin to develop a relationship with Christ. As you develop a relationship with him you are able to look to Him and His word wher you will find truth.
