  • That's Mick Jones..

  • @jdthebooster Uhhhh........Sorry to dissapoint you, but Mick Jones wasn't even there!!!

  • I'm very sad right now. I did not know about his tumor. My childhood was spent listening to foreigner. God bless you, Lou. It is okay.

  • He makes a surgery to remove a brain tumor and still well !!

  • 61 and still amazing

  • WHAT CAN I SAY, I WILL ALWAYS LOVE LOU AND EVEN MY TEENAGE GIRLS LOVE HIS MUSIC. NOW HOW BOUT THAT! WITH OR WITH OUT FOREIGNER, HE IS JUST GREAT!

  • Eu amo esse cara...!!! Juliana (Brasil)

  • Ian Anderson on Flute! AWESOME

  • Alan Cranston on flute?? :>)

  • You go Lou! Rochester, NY loves you!!! Drugs didn't make him look this way! Lou had a serious brain tumor, we're all lucky he survived so we didn't have to lose another rock legend!!

  • Yeah...to me he's still the best singers and the way he sings...amazing.

  • lou voor mij blijf je 1 van de beste zangers ooit, en vind het super dat je dit nu nog even deed

  • You go Lou!! Ain't no pesky tumor gonna keep him from doing what he was born to do :-)

  • Great voice, still...

  • THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS WONDERFUL SONG AND SINGER.

  • Look at that smile of his. he's still sexy!

  • He still sings better than me and I didn't have a brain tumor. Amazing.

  • Lou - Simply GREAT !!!

  • for all the dislikes out there, this man is lucky to be alive,,,,,,,,surviving a brain tumor,,,,,,he is still great !!!

  • Después de su operación..nunca volvio a cantar como antes... ! A esta canción le ha bajado dos tonos y ni aun asi puede alcanzar a las notas.... triste pero real.....

  • Still great and getting better.

    god bless him ("

  • He had a brain tumor and other problems so......

  • reminds me of Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys :C

  • You nailed it again Lou. Just keep it coming.

  • Lou Gramm, THANK YOU for all your years of awesome music..I thank God you are still with us and continuing to sing for all of us fans.

  • Great song.

  • Sorry, but the new singer for Foreigner is much better...

  • @buckeyesrule10 If you are saying that based off this video, you are a complete tool. Lou Gramm had a brain tumor removed in the 90's, which effected not only his weight but his voice as well. Plus Lou is in his sixties here and Kelly Hansen is younger. Lou Gramm in his prime would destroy Hansen. Lou had better range and better lyrics, and in my opinion, better tone. Kelly Hansen is making a career off someone else's hardwork. Question, What did Kelly Hansen ever write that became a huge hit?

  • @ooJUKEBOXHEROoo Lou would destroy Kelly? c'mon now. Kelly is good in his own right, and what does it matter if Kelly never had a hit? lots of great singers out there that will never get their due. I've followed both Foreigner and Kelly's past band Hurricane, and Kelly has a hell of a strong voice, you have to give him that. give a listen to Hurricane's song "over the edge"

  • @slowpoketony I agree that Kelly has a good voice. But no way in hell is he as talented as Lou was in his prime. Anybody that knows anything about music can clearly see that. And you stated, "what does it matter if Kelly never had a hit?" Are you serious? There's a reason why Hurricane wasn't uber successful like Foreigner was. Simply put, Foreigner was a more talented band with WAY better songs. Hurricane was just another hair band lost to obscurity.

  • @buckeyesrule10 May you never age or suffer life-changing illness. Perhaps you will always remain "young". I just wonder what you will do and how you will feel if those close to you prefer the "younger" you to who you are after life has had a "bite" at you.

  • @ALBERTKING901 Still, everyone is entitled to his/her opinion. buckeyesrule 10 didn't say anything wrong, just thought that the new singer is better.

  • @buckeyesrule10 yes he is... but did you know, that lou, the original singer, sounded realy great in former times. the poor guy suffered from a brain tumor.

  • Lou Gramm is my favorite singer of all time. Reason I say that is because he has a interesting individualistic tone/timber, great vocal range, and quality lyrics. In my mind, what more could I ask for in a singer?! He has inspired me to seek out my own vocal talents. This has to be my favorite song of all time. Good to see him singing after all those health problems. LONG LIVE GOOD MUSIC, and the 80.s!

  • Sad... he is off pitch. I can understand Foreigner changed the lead singer. The new lead singer for Foreigner is way better singer. I feel bad for making this comment. Love Lou when he was the lead singer for Foreigner.

  • I defy ANYONE to survive the trauma & recovery Lou went through & be able to make it back onto the stage & perform. His example is a Lesson & GIFT to us all! BRAVO LOU! GOD BLESS YOU!

  • Guys,

I think it's totally shit what all people have done with this man.

In 1982, I've seen Foreigner with Lou, and only by his voice they would so Famous.

Lou, many thanks for your songs,..... the Germans love you.

  • BEing a nurse myself, and undering what patients go through. I applaud you Lou Gramm for continuing to work and giving us joy hearding your amazing voice!!

  • Bravo Lou Gramm.Beautiful as always.

  • a rock LEGEND he is...

  • Do your home work. He has been very sick. Brain Tumor... Do your home work. God Bless you Lou..

  • I don't see the big deal, I think he sounds good here. He's an old guy for pete's sake. If you want to hear horrible singing put my name (jim ciminelli) into the itunes store search engine.

  • I've never had a brain tumor and I still can't sing as well as Lou Gramm. The man rocks, Bravo Lou Gramm.

  • I would give my left nut to be able to sing as well as Lou does here.Don't disrespect the man,he was sick yet still manages a credible performance.

  • Graham was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 1997 and the treatments damaged his patuitary gland as well causing him to gain tons of weight. Considering everything, it's really brave of him to try.

  • :( Poor guy, that brain tumor really hit him hard..

  • Why is this so perfect ... in my country a woman the same age if I'm not mistaken, is not so bad, what happened lou ......??? your music is still great with Foreigner .. never too late to go back later .... is for you do not want back what inspires him in life .... greetings from Chile ....

  • That can ... guess that is the age ... but It might be possible to make adjustments to the voice in some way ... anyway ... very good theme music real foreigner ... slated to meet again. .. music is worthless now ... many times .... greetings from Chile ... Lou Gramm

  • I don't think he sounds that bad....I think his timing is off, but a lot of singers are that way live....frankly, I think he sounds a lot better than Robert Plant does, or Joe Eliot. I think Coverdale prob sounds better than Lou, but really, I don't think Lou is sounding bad here....

  • Lou still has it!!! He done made his bones and really shouldn't have to defend himself against anyone. If you like Foreigner's music.....yes, that's Lou. Lou WAS Foreigner.

  • thats not him...impossible

  • @gaae2000 Well, believe it, it is him alright.

  • @Reneedebruin Folks he went through a horrible brain tumor years ago. Took him quite a while to recover. Be kind.

  • @gaae2000 he had a brain tumor operation several years ago, as a result a long list of health problems developed after. basically he suffers the same effects as somone thats had a stroke.

  • @gaae2000 Yeap, it's sure him. He sings dramatic low, but thats what happens when people get old, even the biggest singers ever..

  • there aren't singers like him anymore... true passion, true lyrics, true music, true love

I totally love you Lou... May the good Lord keep you in his holy love for eternity <3

  • Lou still sounds awesome!!!

  • What year did Lou get sick? Did he marry then divorce? I know he has a boy and girl twin right?

  • @Johnnyrod19666

He's divorced twice and he had two children with each wife.

It was on 1997 when he had the tumor

He had converted to Jesus around 1985

Check out his great new album... very passion as always!

  • I thought Lou had a brain tumor??I know it was serious but ? he sounds great having been through anything ..

  • great song..but wrong version..but ...thats fine....all i want is to dedicate to kitty, my dream girl from long island...i would die to have her in my life and im never giving up on her..NEVER...if it fails, no more ladies for me...i've been waiting for a girl like her since ive been divorced and in no time, i fell for her..damn..damn..damn....still waiting and wont ever stop kitty from bellmore ny..i love u..x0x0x0...

  • God bless Lou Gramm. To come back and do this for us is just unbelievable after all he's been through. And yes, that is Greg Lake on acoustic guitar in this video. What an honor, I wish I could see Lou Gramm Band, he is getting better and better.

  • Lou had a brain tumor and had it removed at Bostons Brigham and Women's hospital. He toured with Foreigner a few years after the surgery . He is on steroids which cause weight gain. To tour and continue after what he's been thru is amazing. God bless him. And let's hope he stays healthy and gets back with Foreigner

  • still love the voice!

  • The creepy percussionist at 15 seconds, was apparently Rebecca Black's father who died only hours after his performance here in a bizarre toaster accident. Read this on 4chan, I believe.

  • He's aged horribly...

  • @JohnathanPozzi I guess you haven't read the other comments and I'm not going to explain that this is not because of age, drugs or alcohol.

  • Comment removed

  • @JohnathanPozzi He went through having a brain tumor removed, radiation and chemo, he looks and sounds great. He is also 60 years old. He is the greatest singer/song writer ever.

  • @theonlywomaninblack I second that. Love Lou Gramm!!!

  • @JohnathanPozzi its the cancer meanie. the cancer did this to him. most people don't sound this damn good or look this good after brain cancer. most people die from it. the cancer he had kills most people. it was that deep in his brain. dont' diss a legend. your couldnt do half as good.

  • @nannynicky4life Lou still ROCKS!!!! SOUNDS great!!!

  • @JohnathanPozzi as long as his voice sounds great

  • @JohnathanPozzi hE HAD a brain tumor surgery, diabetes now he is coming back he is 62 years old.He also lost the speak while he had the tumor.

  • @JohnathanPozzi A brain tumour will do that to you

  • I am very glad that Lou is still doing what he has done for over 30 years. He has a smile on his face and still has fun doing what he loves.

  • Lou will always be a part of Foreigner ... THEN ... but he just can't sing this stuff anymore today. Sounds terrible. So glad Mick Jones has found a new singer (Kelly Hansen), who is brilliant, as well as all the other musicians around him. Thanks Mr. Jones for keeping the band going - LOVE YOU !

  • I think his singing must have been affected a lot when he was sick. Didn't he have a brain tumour of some sort?

  • As a, guitarist, bassist, vocalist, writer, all I can say is this man is doing the best he can with the tools God allowed him to have. Now after what he went through I do believe that the good Lord left him with some fine abilities. :) Anybody slamming him should really listen and realize that he STILL has a better voice than a great many out there.

Cut him some slack, he'll be back in full form in no time..May God continue to bless him as he's endured quite a trial!

  • He was such a good singer...so sad but he needs to work. I hope he is doing better now...

  • Hey - he might look like hell and make some mistakes....but that man set millions womens' and girls' hearts on fire for a long, long, long time!! God bless him for pushing himself to get up and out to do this!! I'd feel so honored just to get one small kiss from the guy!!! Lou, Baby....you RULE!!!!!

  • That girl on 2:54 is really trying to get attention LOL.

  • don't be dissing Lou! he does damn good for a guy that had to learn to talk again and remember the words of his songs.. i love him!

  • Are you all kidding me people? Lou still has it! He has always had amazing singing abilities! Thumbs up if you agree!

  • @MrBrandonGibson: not just to slam back dude but you're wrong about his pitch and I should know, I have 4 EMMY awards so don't talk pitch or music if you don't LIKE what you're hearing...just say you don't like it. People want to see the original artist do their songs even if they are half-dead and this guy fought back from almost certain death. Give him a break for adding beautiful music to the sometimes ugly world.

  • @Pauly1313 Many people still don't know how sick Lou had been and that he got operated. I had send Mr. Brandon a personal message and he understood then when I did explain about Lou's illness at the time and what the operation did to him. So it's ok and not needed to get back at him.

  • @Pauly1313 Well said.

Besides, most pop artists these days probably sound far worse before the AutoTune is switched on!

Cut him a break. He's a living legend.

  • It may sound bad, but I wish I could sing that bad. This guy was and always will be one of the greatest.

  • Thanks Lou . Keep it going with your beautiful music.

  • Such an inspiration... to go from being renowned, world class vocalist to a jaded, shadow of his fomer self due to the tumors and operations. He shows us all not to give up what we love and continue with his performing. I am gutted his voice isn't what it was but he deserves all of the praise and recognition... Lou Rocks!!

  • I love Lou Gramm! Once upon A time in the 80's with Foreigner and then in the early to mid 90's when he formed Shadow King. He isn't what he once was but, he still is one of the greatest and most recognizable voices of that era! I love you you Lou!

  • DAMN...somebody didn't know when to quit.

  • Pretty damn good all things considered.

  • Oh my goodness, I just noticed Greg Lake is playing guitar, am I correct???

  • the voice isn't bad at all, needs a bit excercise that's all. i think he have to take remedis And.for the ones here they haven't realized yet...life isn't a party for every one.there ppl on this planet ,they fighting for living...

  • Takes guts getting back on the stage after having a brain tumor removed...you go Lou...much respect, and yes he performed live a little later again with foreigner and sounded great....a true voice of rock.

  • @warmbeerfreezone long live Lou!

  • sad

  • that was painful to listen to

  • aging sucks

foreigner were the first band that really touched me

the new lead singer is not bad. does a good job for keeping the flame burning so be warm in winter days

still longing for foreigner in the 80's

  • Tut mir leid, für mich (halbjunger Mensch, Foreigner "nur" in den 80ern kennengelernt, hört sich das immer noch super an. Ich kriege eher das Grausen, wenn ich den Jagger da rumhopsen sehe .-) .

  • it hardly looks like him

  • Concerteza ele continua.. \o/ Lou Gramm !!!

  • Go baby!! It's still Lou no matter what! Just saw Foreigner in concert 2 days ago and the replacement singer sounds alot like him, if he didn't, i wouldn't have wasted my time! Lou's sound is what i'm after when it comes to their music.

  • Shit - this is really bad - the guy is really off - slurred speach, totally off pitch - not good. He shouldn't be performing. It's embarassing. We'll always remember him from the 80's so let's just remember the good times. Time to give up Live singing.

  • @MrBrandonGibson Well, this performance is from some years ago, he has improved since then and there are a lot of people who still appreciate his singing, so I guess there is enough reason for him to go on singing in puplic :-) But hey, everyone is entitled to their opinion!!! As long as it stays in reasonable words, then it's ok with me.

  • @Reneedebruin

he does not sounds as before but still pleasant

    aging is a bitch

  • @MrBrandonGibson Mr. Gramms had several operations for brain tumors he's been through hell and still doing something he loves give him a break. Still better then Me.

  • @MyFord04

that was shocking from me to found out

I agree with every word you said

  • typo I meant "for me"

  • @MrBrandonGibson In April 1997, two months after providing vocals for Christian rock band Petra's Petra Praise 2: We Need Jesus, and on the eve the band was to leave for a Japan tour, Gramm was diagnosed with a type of brain tumor called a craniopharyngioma. Although the tumor was benign, the resulting surgery damaged his pituitary gland. In addition, the recovery program had caused Gramm to gain weight, and likewise affected his stamina and voice. He continued to work with Jones.

  • @MrBrandonGibson I'll bet this performance is a thousand times better than anything you could do.

  • @zigertube Be nice to this person. Mr. Brandon got a personal message from me where I did explain Lou's situation and he understood and was respectful. So there is no need to get to him like this. Please, don't use this site of mine to start a small war or anything.

  • @MrBrandonGibson My time on earth has taught me that loving people have empathy! Good for you Lou to get back up there and do what you were meant to do!! Luv ya:)

  • @MrBrandonGibson It is the result of his Gramm's brain surgery on its pituitary gland and the medication that is takes. That is why he looks so different now. He is slowly recovering over the years. The important thing is that he completely turned his life around and got of drugs and is a devoted father and Christian. Fantastic man on many levels!!

  • God Bless him, he's awesome and courageous

  • O tempo e implacavel...alguns se sobre saem, outros nem tantos...mas ele continua ....

  • Love Lou Gramm. This is my favorite song from Foreigner. I also didnt know that Lou Gramm went through all that he has. He still is awesome!!!

  • I had no idea what he went through until I recently read up. Good for him.

  • Amazing how quickly the fans will feed entertainers to the lions. Good for Lou for getting up there and doing it.

  • I prefer a "lower octave" Lou over any other Foreigner front man every day of the week, including Sundays!

  • considering what he's been through, this wasnt bad.

  • @AoiAisuAoiDoragon Yes and it's been some years ago that he sang on here and since then he already has improved.

  • Braintumor or not He had a great voice but this is really embarrassing. I don't even recognize his voice, Not only the sound but also the timing... Please Lou, I love you but you really should just give up singing for good

  • I love this guy....still singing great...its just different from what he used to be.

    Good luck to him

  • I seen him in PHILLY at the Keswick theatre with Foreigner and Mick Jones kept looking at the rest of the band when Lou was singing. He is a fukn mess. He almost fell off the stage. His voice is an absolute mess. He had one of the best voices in the industry. Go get a desk job Lou. Everyone was embarrassed

  • For what it's worth, I have a lot of respect for Lou. Then, and now. He's inspiring. Brain tumor? Glandular problems? Severe loss of range? Change the key of the song and move on. He Manned up. Love you, Lou.

  • @CowbellProfessional How awful people here trashing him. How many of these idiots commenting look feel or sound like they did in their twenties????? Life is a bi@#h and we all get older and have health issues at some point. These desktop critics couldnt carry a pubic hair on this guys nutsack!!!!

  • God Bless Lou Graham! He had to have a brain tumor removed! He has guts to keep singing! It will come back the more he sings. It is more of an effort but he will sound the way he wants to again! I believe in you Lou! He is an awesome vocalist! Keep on singing Lou! <3

  • Waiting to see a good performance...not this

  • Waiting to see another of Lou's great performances, saw him in Switzerland and was overjoyed! Any intentions of coming again?? Beautiful song

  • This is hard to watch....

  • Embarassing. Sounds like shit

  • not the same lou

  • @erv66 Surely not the same, but it's still Lou :-)

  • @erv66 ...indeed, so sad! struggling in the notes, a mere flicker of the flame that once burned so bright. I hate disease and sickness that can come in a day and destroy a lifetime!

  • Holy Shit! John Madden kicks ass in concert!!!

  • UN CLASICO ADORADO POR MI ...ANIKILADO POR MR GRAMM ...HAY KE VER!

  • He sounds better than I ever could on my best day. I wish the best for him and his health.

  • The flutes kind of ruin his moment a bit. They need the original keyboard sound.

  • very nice too see you Lou xx

  • This is aweful. I am shocked to hear him sound so bad. He doesn't sound anything like his former self. Now I am actually happy to say that they replaced him with someone who actually sounds like Lou did back in his hey day. I always enjoyed foreigner, so I was curious to find out what happened with the lead singer. And now that I know, I won't be listening to him much more. What a shame.

  • @Tjs964 Have a heart. He went through an operation to get rid of a brain tumor. How would you talk or sing after something like that? Hes doing great and every day even better under those circumstances.

  • @Tjs964 Sorry folk, this comment is dedicated to all the friends who are posting points of view about the eroded image of Mr. Gramm...You all should know that Lou passed trough severe brain cancer and just after the surgery he decided to keep rocking..Just that gesture proves what a human with soul power can do!!!!!!!!!...so please...make some research after post what's on your mind friends!!!!!...Best regards...and Lou, you are an inspiration! Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is a bad performance but this is from a couple years ago........he sounds MUCH better now.

  • A true legend, respect to Lou for carrying on after his illness, hope he returns to his old state we all know and love, one of the worlds finest rock singers.

  • is that greg lake up there too?

  • Best wishes to Lou....

  • I just checked out lou gramm band 2009,yes he's back, that fantastic voice,I don't know his story ,but what this video sounds like i heard before ...elvis; chuck negron; boby Hatfield ,eddie brigatti ,judy garland johnny ray .Chuck & eddie are back, both singing great ,oh don't forget whitney.Whats the point! ........ Drugs alcohol & singing, are only for the young!

  • Lou is a legend...no doubt, but because of things beyond his control, he just can't do what he used to...he lags behind the band at points, especially at the beginning. Because of this, Foreigner has moved on with Kelly...and for the best really. Not taking anything away from Lou, he had to deal with issues that we can't understand. It's hard to lose one's voice due to things we can't help. I still respect the heck out of him and he will always be the legend he so justly deserves!

  • ,,despues de una operacion de un Tumor Cerebral..que vuelva a los escenarios ya es bastante,,aunque un poco gordo,,pero vivo esta,..!

  • Check out Lou's more recent videos...his health has improved tremendously and he sounds and looks great!!!! Lou, God has bless you so much....and has blessed us with your music. (by the way, it is the great flutist from Jethro Tull.... Ian Anderson)

  • what happened to him? Is he sick? It doesn't even sound remotely like they did way back when. I heard he was ill though. Poor guy they used to be one of the best in the world.

  • what good is that flute player, never seen anyone more superfluous. Lou went down several octaves, huh? My my my.

  • @nancyneptune Flute player is the great Ian Anderson..(Jethro Tull) And Lou was very ill with a brain tumor previous to this video. ( Shame on you for your remarks.)

Lou is back in full form and sounding great. God bless you Lou!!!!!

  • This video is old......his voice is almost back to normal, check out his new CD and see for your self.

  • this is old.....his voice is almost the it used to be...check out his new cd and see.

  • WOW

Some people can sing good but without meaning.

    This man sings with soul.

  • This is sad.I loved Lou as a singer. But this to me feels like bad Karaoke.I wanna remember Lou for what he was,not this.Maybe he can get it back or maybe not.I love Kelly Hansen in Foreigner.I'd rather have that than this.

  • @WEINBAUER I still love this way way way way more than the plastic performance of Kelly Hansen.

Even if this Kelly Hansen hits all the notes perfect it doesn't mean anything.

Not because I have false sentiments but because he doesn't sing with his heart.

  • Good Luck to him I say !!!!

  • His voice is still there, you can hear it on some notes. He got screwed by Jones and Elliott from the original band. The new Foreigner stinks. This man was the heart and soul of all their songs....from Double Vision to Urgent to Girl on the Moon..he was and still is the voice of Foreigner and always will be.

  • Foreigner, my fav rock group since my teen yrs. Hope Lou is much better. We all go through unexpected changes (and expected as well). I think it was honorable that he showed up and sung for his fans! He just gave us a piece of reality. God bless you Lou.

  • Bless you Lou....

  • ein gänsehautsong...absulut beautiful

  • very sad to see how his health has deteriorated and how he battles to find the right notes...

Can someone explain what's happened to him?

  • @geshtasb Brain Tumor.

  • He's a true surviver & a good man! & from his interviews, seems so sweet.I've had a crush on him since I was 12 yrs old.Hee hee..Im now 45.Any woman would be lucky to have him! He's still very handsome in my book & would jump his bones everyday of the week!!! Maybe one day..I'll get lucky!!!

  • BEST LOVE SONG EVER!!! ... good to see lou gramm sing again he sings from his heart and soul you can hear it in all his songs!! FOREIGNER ROCKS!!!

  • Its awful really lets not beat around the bush. And its a crying shame that it had to end like this for one of the best and most distinctive rock voices ever.

  • @lyngoodwin Sadly, I have to agree. I'll give Lou credit for getting on stage, but his vocal power is all gone in the wake of his illness. He can't even hit the right keys anymore, albeit none of this is his fault.
