I learned Cripple Creek as my first song, just step by step, so I guess I should learn the chords then play around with them like you do. I have new strings for my banjo but where do you get these 'extra light' strings, to make my banjo respond better? I have a very cheap banjo. Harley Benton, 5 string.
Im looking at learning how to play the banjo, but im very short on cash and i found a cheap banjo called a Morgan Monroe Hobo 5 String. i was wondering, Anyone know if it is any good? or just cheap?
Thanks for giving me the banjo, Patrick. Three years coming up and you have taught me more about the instrument than anyone else. Nearly everything. How and Tao has been a steady companion and I smile as my competence sloowlly moves through the pages over the months and years. Played live a few times, a few more coming up. Play for my school students, lots of historical song sing alongs. Anyway, I know you have had some hard times of late, but your love of the instrument and us learners...
Patrick, thank you so much....I started frailing about 2 weeks ago with your beginner lessons, and am trying to get every bluegrasser in my church to join me...this chord hammer on is kinda tough at first, but I'll keep on keeping on!
