For those of you supporters talking about 2016 you might need to stop thinking about 2016 and focus on 2012 because this might be the only opening you have because I bet anybody they are going to change the rules for 2016 so guys like Paul can't be heard. So there might not be a 2016 for ideas like Dr. Paul has. You might have to put it in high gear and vote like there is no tomorrow because there might not be for ideas like the one Ron Paul has.
This is the reason why I respect Ron Paul. Dr. Paul could of took the easy way out and lied to South Carolina and pretended to be pro War pro building more military bases and spending more money on anything that has the word Military in it and he might of placed 2nd or even Won South Carolina but he rather place fourth and stand up for what he believes in and tell America the truth. Truth that America loves to ignore. haha
Newts message ?? hahaha The only thing the Newt message means is in the southern states they are very Christian and they will not and i repeat they will not vote for a MORMON that is all that means. They have this fear of going to hell if the vote for mitt. haha But as much crap Newt has done you still might go to hell for voting for him. haha You have to be a Christian to win southern states no matter if you are good or bad.
The is no splitting votes, when the splitting is happening between a real tea party conservative and 3 other corrupt, power hungry, war dodging, big government liberals. Simple as that!
How did Gingrich or any of the neo-cons win? All over the internet, not once have I seen strong support from regular people. Not one, "Romney 2012", or "Vote Gingrich to save the economy". Where are these voters?
There needs to be an independant body set up to audit and review the voting systems and the voting machines to ensure they are 100 percent legitamate.
But the government doesn't want us to be educated, especially about our rights. This is why we have the department of education. It controls what we are taught but more importantly what we are NOT taught. This is why the establishment is against Ron Paul's message.
It's not rigged voting machines. It's that people are stupid. If the media can influence for whom people vote so much that the polls swing quickly towards certain candidates, it only shows that voters are idiots. We the people (voters) are going to get what we deserve for our stupidity. I feel for our children because they didn't choose the idiots to be our leaders, but will live with the consequences.
Lets just cut to the chase. The young people know they're royally screwed over by the system and will never be able to collect on their SS payments when they retire. They know SS and Medicare are a ponzi scheme and they're also on the hook for the $16.5 trillion national debt. Lets just call a spade a spade.
Loved the night of SC election...Fox kept flashing the pictures of Swingrich, Romney, and Santorum conveniently forgetting to mention Ron Paul or even include his picture....Media busy stealing another election. RON PAUL 2012!!!
Splintered into pieces thanks to frauds like Palin co-opting the movement and daily, repetitive brainwashing by neo-con talk radio like Beck, Hannity and all the rest.
How can you call yourself "Tea Party" and vote for big government, establishment Republicans like Gingrich, Romney, or Santorum? It just shows you that the Tea Party has been co-opted by the Republican party. 200,000 South Carolina voters picked Newt Gingrich. That shows either a scary level of ignorance or rigged voting machines.
This guy gets it. The Ron Paul campaign needs to adopt this kind of language. If they try to run a traditional campaign they will lose. Voters will go for the guy with the better hair or wittier debates lines. It has to be about the movement. 2008 felt like a Revolution. 2012 feels like a campaign. Big difference.
Haha look at all those fools cheering on Gingrich after the primary. They actually think he's going to do anything for them. Newt isn't going to beat Obama - I'd rather have 4 more years of Obama than that scumbag Gingrich in the White House. And I know a lot of people think like I do.
I can't believe Fox news let a guest make positive statements about Ron Paul for over 4 consecutive minutes. Someone must have been dozing in the control room.
newt cant win the nomination neither can santorum because they fail to qualify in all 50 state ballots, in total the number of delegates they lose if 564, which means they lose the majority so its down to ron paul and mitt romney, so throw away your vote on those two or vote for a candidate who cares about, vote Ron Paul
Neither party was ever really a war party. dead sons do not garner votes; ask George W Bush. World Wars 1 and 2 were WORLD events, dictated by history. Should we have never lifted a finger in S. Korea, or Vietnam? Maybe. But we were the one nation that says People are Important, That Autocratic rule is WRONG. And if you really want to bitch about the past, get your own show on Fox.
@Valiant114 The past shaped the present, and understanding the past would help us to avoid the mistakes of the past. If you consider discussing the parties and individuals who, in the past, sent hundreds of thousands of young men to fight, kill, and die in order to advance their notion of an egalitarian empire (which is just thinly veiled autocracy) "bitching", well you can just ignore folks who do NOT wish to stay willfully ignorant.
26036 votes in Iowa, 56873 votes in New Hampshire, 77993 votes in South Carolina. It looks like a true small Federal Government, sound money and free market system candidate message is doing nothing but growing and growing. "Good morning America How are you? Ronald Paul is our native son!!! Climb on board the Liberty Express and Dr. Paul will be our President when it's said and done.
Senator Davis supporting Ron Paul is a huge victory, all the candidates wanted his endorsement. We just need more Senator's to take a stand for Ron Paul. Each one is a huge Pie in the face of the Main Stream Media Pundits, who try to steer public opinion away from Dr Paul!
After this interview Davis commented on his Facebook page that he wishes he hadn't been referred to at the end of the interview as "the founder of the Tea Party", because he considers the group to be a grassroots organization that grew spontaneously, without being primarily directed by anyone in particular.
I like this man. He presented himself, his ideas, and the freedom movement well in this interview. I think he's dead wrong about Dr. Paul trying to get the Republican party back to its roots, though. The Republican party has since its inception been a party of war and economic protectionism for certain favored individuals and industries. What Ron Paul is trying to do is get the AMERICAN PEOPLE back to their roots of liberty and personal responsibility. Thanks, Mr. Davis, for spreading the word!
@grogforsale The Republican party historically was not a war party, the Democratic party was. Look at the party of the war presidents for the last century. The major shift in the Republican party came in the 1970's, when essentially two big government parties emerged, and the small government party that was the old Republican party died. I would highly recommend a second look at the historical stances of the two parties over the last hundred years.
@LemurOfMercy Yes, Wilson, FDR, Truman, Kennedy, Johnson and Clinton led wars. However, the Republican party has always tried to facilitate a kind of mercantilism that benefited favored interest groups, and it often pushed war as a means of forcing people into that system.
A few examples
Lincoln- War Between the States
William McKinley- Spanish-American War, Philippine Insurrection
Ron Paul is just the tip of the iceberg. Is he important? Of course he is. Will the movement towards personal liberty and true freedom for all Americans die if he doesn't win the nomination. Of course not. Neo-conservatives are like the Soviets fighting to save a corrupt and dysfunctional system. Sure they will win some elections but they are allied with coercion, tyranny and fear. These things cannot survive the tide life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
Oh, yeah, great job, FOX "News" - ignore Davis' endorsement of Paul *before* the SC primary, then interview him *after* the voting is over. "Fair & balanced" my ass!
I've been thinking about this all day and I cant understand how Dr Paul who was in second place or third place in the polls is suddenly fourth behind Santorum. This is not making sense. Is there ANY analysis going on out there of these results or is everyone in the business corrupt?
