@Sarnius26 Halo came out in 2001 and so did Tribes. HOWEVER, Tribes utilizes mechanics that also featured Jetpacks, something that wouldn't be in the Halo franchise until Halo: Reach came out. Other features include a mass customization feature that can change the game any way the gamers want it too, so much that the change may not resemble the actual Tribes game itself at all. You can also have custom skins for your avatar rather than different armor colors or accessories.

So besides the fact Tribes came out months before Halo, Tribes and Halo are different in which both games have different features to offer to FPS gamers. Because Tribes is almost different, yet a bit similar to Halo, comparing both games is rather absurd, and calling it a copy of Halo is even weirder.

The reason why I said it was weirder to compare Halo to Tribes is because both are also remarkably similar. I think the first Halo game also supported third person view too from what I remember. It's just that Tribes is a bit more competitive than Halo and Halo was meant to appeal to a wider audience because of the Xbox.
