Use a BOAT HOOK - On 6 occassions last week in HAsler marina I witnessed French, Ducth,German and English boats miss thebirth 1st time with the visitors pontoon by a foot or so - All because it was was just out of reach due to wind and tide. A boathook would make the connection.
