Okay, let's get things straight. Three monitors do not stretch out what you see on a single screen. The middle screen displays the same image as if would if it was alone. You get that same picture, the same screen as you would on a single monitor. The other two monitors add extra screen play. What you wouldn't normally see. It increases the amount of the world you see. It's just extra view. It doesn't stretch the normal view at all.

omg! tath precesor is giving a huge neck to your system! just get a 2500k or 2600k and overclock it to 4.5@ at least ! the you will exploit the full power of those 590s! with that change you will get double fps or more

If I use single GTX 590 and run Dirt 3 on 3 monitors in 5760x1080 without 3d vision I will get over 40 fps or not ?

This isn't sli...sli only works on one monitor..you can do this on one gtx 590.

there is no bottleneck with that setup? I have a similar setup, the only differences are i use a i7-875k on a evga p55 classified. Same gtx 590s in sli and 3 alienware monitors. I was experiencing some bottlenecks until I OCed my processor to 4.2ghz. Surround vision is awesome I love it.

i like your 120hz monitors, video looks a lot faster. is the 3D vision like watching a 3D movies in the cinema? first time i saw a 3D movie i was expecting it to be amazing but it was pretty average so i'm not to keen on that.

its amazing..i love my gtx 590..and yeah its first vga that have 3 outputs..can solo 3 monitors... and on dirt3...u see all

hey i've got gtx 580 sli

so i think it should be nuff to run dirt 3 :P

but if i run dirt 3 i've got 25 fps in the main menu (doesn't matter if i'm recording... it's still 25)

while playing everything's well (120-150fps) if i dont use the "inside the car" camera mode. cuz if i do, it drops down to 35fps and after a while i goes back to 110

what should i do?

i made a custom sli profile in the nvidia control panel

Even on the stock air cooler you could easily get it to 3 GHz.

@Madawg65 Hmm even with 2 gtx 590's you don't think your i7 bottlenecks it? Also surprising that you take that much of a perfomance drop in 3D vision, I'd say thats where you lack CPU power? Unless its your 2 gtx 590's struggling to cope? Which I doubt they are pretty beast. Post some more vids man, nice system, nice screens, and nice camera too lol. Rich ass haha

@TVShowsHD1 Well we are about to find out if its the I7 cuz i just ordered the I7-970 gulftown. it comes this next week..Ill be posting a new video soon ...but there is another video on youtube showing a I7-920 vs 990x i think and the FPS is minimal for games with this setup..soo we shall see soon enough on mine

As for the mystery 45Hz benchmark... the GPU has to render two fields to display one full 3D screen... each frame of game time will be rendered over two frames of screen time... that's a given if you're on an LCD shutter system since that's how it works, right. So maybe it's always gonna give a straight loss of 50% as an overhead simply for using the stereo 3D system?

@Madawg65 Well I feel pretty confident it does explain it since a 3D system will have to render two frames for every screen. If it is true then it adds an interesting corollary to 3D benchmarks since there'll be debate regarding how a 3D game syncing on a 120Hz monitor can never run faster than 60Hz. Having said it though, 60Hz is the benchmark for smooth so we're pretty clear of it being a big problem. Plus my dad bought a 3D stereo system and it's fine.
