thanks for the video. i held out my purchase of a new macbook pro pending the release of the newer models. while i was impressed with the specs of the newer 13 models, i was disappointed with the fact that apple chose to go with intel's integrated graphics. hence, i am leaning to purchasing the 2010 model with the nvidia graphics. question, as you have had this machine for a while, overall what's has being your experience thus far? and is it worth it? thanks.

The only reason why I bought the Macbook Pro was because it came with an iPod Touch and the design is pretty sexy. Super pricey though...I bought an HP computer for 1,000 and it came with a quad core processor and 1TB of harddrive space.

@bk11121988 I would say that it is worth paying 1200 for a mac. I am writing this from my 6 month old gateway laptop. The only reason I say this is because my laptop had to be grounded as a desktop because the the cmos and DVD both died. I would definitely get a mac if I were you.

Any laptop that has a Wireless N wifi card will work with any wireless router, but obviously only at the fastest speed that the router can achieve.

For example;

This MacBook Pro has a Wireless N card. So if you use this laptop with (for sake of example) a Wireless G, or Wireless A through to F, but only at the speed of Wireless G or whatever.

mk, im buying a 13 in in the fall big question i have. I assume you have had multiple mac laptops? I heard the hinge can be loose right out of the box, and at the very least gets loose over time, exorbitantly so, if you've ever had any problems would you plz let me know im going straight to the source on this issue mac people, im gonna ask around on a few dozen unboxing videos to find out if this is an actual problem thanks ahead of time.

@YUPnNOPE I love the weight of this computer, it is actually lighter than the Plastic Macbook (figure that out for me haha) it is powerful and just an awesome computer. 4.5 pounds is not that heavy. I might get the iPad for note taking myself... but what do you mean "the clamcase" The Macbook air, i would not recommend because of the fact it is really dated, it has not been updated for a long time. Also it costs a lot more to get it a little bit upgraded...

His Qoismo wil probably last 30 minutes under heavy gaming, while your MBP will last 5 hours under the same conditions. Yours is thin, his is ugly and bulky. Your screen-resolution is probably higher. Yours is a Mac so you wont need to worry about updates, viruses, firewalls and all that shit. Yours has a glowing Apple-logo in it. Do I need to go on? :D

@TimboDedaa I honestly do not have or intend to have any graphics intense programs for it (video game wise) but it runs Finder, Safari, iChat, iTunes, Photobooth, iMovie 09, iPhoto 09, iDVD 09, and garage band 09 all together at the same time without missing a beat!

I have been disappointed with Apple lately. First, a tablet that doesn't run OS X or even support flash. Then, a $1100 laptop that still has a Core 2 Duo processor. I've seen $500 Dell laptops with Core i5 in them. I was hoping this laptop would support more RAM, too. At least I got what I expected with the upgraded graphics card and more than I expected with the 10 hour battery life. USB 3.0 and/or Blu-Ray would have been nice but I didn't expect those.

What do you guys think? should I buy it?

@TheLonelyHappyMeal the only real thing i am doing to "save the battery" is not having Bluetooth on because i do not have any bluetooth devices, the screen brightness is 1/2 way up, airport is constantly on, I have been using it thoroughly though, i edited this HD movie, iChatted, iPhoto'd, and made an iDVD, all on the 10 hour battery. I did calibrate the battery when i got it (charging it fully then draining it to almost 0%) But i have utilized the battery and it is awesome!

@DUDEMANGUY5 wow thats amazing, i think the reason people with 15/17 inch ones and getting like 4 hours is because with the automatic discrete graphics card kicks in when ever you get a webpage with some flash pop-ups, so thats why i like the 13 inch
