  • Loved it. But your robot looks to shiny to be so scratched up. Did you use a blin material for the texture?

  • @HammerFallForTheWin well for the robot i was trying to achieve the look of the startcraft2 marine trailer, its all scratch up but yet its still shiny. I find that its the best way to show off your bump map. it is a blinn material.

  • @Turanic1 Well, AI only teaches you fundamental, I sped quite a lot of time going through tutorial, books, and other artists work. Gnomon tutorial is a great place to start!

    See an example Idsoftware throws some games for Linux, in which I like, such as Quaker, Doom3 and others.

  • @vencugar I used Maya and Zbrush, the wireframe is done by something that is similar to toon shader. Google it up its not hard to do. The final composition is done in after effects

  • @mrgiloz You don't have to take course in Vancouver actually, there are tons of online workshops, all you need is a computer that runs maya, and internet connection :)

  • you second model, has worn off armor (the paint looks worn) but the reflections are perfect, you should have used reflectionmaps so the worn off parts dont reflect that perfect

  • @ShadowDatsas hey i know you asked him but it was most likely a phong nobe anything besides a lambert would be fine for custom speculars,. phong is the most reflective,.

    Unfortunately, there's a huge difference between game design and what this guy is doing. When making games, you've got to keep in mind that you your computer can't handle to much detail. But thit is epic for sure!

  • @Da3dBlender nowadays game chars get rendered in this andbetter quality anyway, as they need to render the bimb maps.

    wouw, i have a gamer rig to, but in Vue 9 it sucks. Some pictures can take up to 48 houers to render.

  • Meh, the shader on the robot looks really fake because of the obvious reflectivity of the enviro map, it looks hyper polished yet your diffuse map has serious scratches in it. If anything use a damn reflectivity map!

  • Nice reel man, The bike is definitely ur best, the only thing, i think u should work on the spec of that mecha, it really doesnt work with your textures... The spec is all shiny and the surface looks like its damaged and supposed to be dull... other then that great reel! drop a line on my reel if you get a chance! good luck!

  • @MrGokulesh hey im not sure how he does it, but if i wanna render in wire frame all i do is clone the model u want, put a shell mod on it(play around with the settings) and then go to ur mats, and put a black texture on it and click the wireframe box. hope that helps

  • Very well done. The only crit I have is on your air support unit. He seems to have too much reflections on spots that have alot of wear, especially around the foot area. There seems to be many scratches and dents, but they still reflect and have high specular highlights. This should not be the case. Apart from that, great job, great camera positioning, very well done.
