im running mine on Kato unitrack on styro-foam and is nowhere as loud as yours, that sounds like it has an electrical problem, the only noise from mine is from the heavy weight of the model
i have one on layaway for christmas and i test ran it at the shop that my friend owns and it seemed fairly quiet you run yours on styro-foam would that possibly make it quieter because i have to find something that isnt as loud as plywood
The model is fairly noisy. I would say about the same noise as other Bachmann engines. My track is laid on 1 inch extruded foam and cork. which is not the best for quiet operation.
how would you compare how smooth it runs with a kato or atlas locomotive?
