@nicktf1, interesting fact, where you got that from ? I would have guessed George Murray on bass as he backed Bowies band from 1976 to 1980. Herbie Flowers plays on Space Oddity and Walk on the wild side 5 years prior to this so it surprises me Bowie hired him again for this backing track.

I'm sorry, but why is it that every time I here this song it's the version less than half the length of the original! David Bowie wrote this song with the intention of playing it the way he imagined it, not in this slimmed down bastardization. The vocal is live, it may even be a backing track to which he's adding live vocals.

But definitely not Marc on guitar.
