I agree with all the fans, every time there is a new singer in Journey I have a hard time accepting. I really enjoyed Augeri's voice after the 2001 dvd and he performed incredibly in 2006 when I saw journey live. I dislkied Arnel Pineda because he is new but after seeing him sing I am blown away at his seemingly effortless talent. The Journey continues.

Steve's version of DSB will always be the best because that song, along with all classics were written in consideration of his vocal abilities. The new songs on Eclipse were written for Arnel to sing, now do you think Steve Perry can sing "Tantra" much better than Arnel did? I don't think so. Because this time they consider Arnel's and not Steve's. Point is, Steve will always be on top when it comes to classics, it's unfair for Arnel to be compared, for such reason.

Both philipino and both with the same octive range. Too younger fans, no big deal, But to those of us who grew up with Journey in the late 70's and 80's, you can't just replace a legend with a great singer. Not only did Steve write most of their songs he made those songs what they are.
